'BETTER, FASTER, SMARTER: HARNESSING INNOVATION TO CREATE THE GREEN ENERGY SYSTEMS OF TOMORROW' This week Ørsted released a new interactive report presenting an overview of some of the innovation initiatives they are pursuing. Innovation is critical to delivering greater value across our core technologies, and reaching our vision of a world that runs entirely on green energy. Explore the report across three parts: Offshore excellence, Systems integration, Partnering for impact. We are proud that our #LiquidAirEnergyStorage (LAES) has been included in the systems integration module of the report. We are looking forward to continuing our strong relationship with Ørsted, especially following the recent news of our investment which will enable the construction of our Carrington LAES facility. “In 2023, alongside energy storage innovator Highview Power, we initiated an in-depth analysis into the role of LAES co-located with offshore wind. Preliminary results show that LAES has the potential to support energy balancing of offshore wind as well as offering much needed services to support stability of and access to the grid where the wind farm is connected.” You can explore the full report here: https://lnkd.in/dCaE6ta3 Read more on our storage case here: https://lnkd.in/exwhpkhe #Orsted #EnergyStorage #LDES #OffshoreWind #CleanEnergy #GreenPower

💬 "The asks from developers are reasonably simple: Consistency in the planning process, a clear and reliable income stream and the grid being available to accommodate new connections in a reasonable timeframe. "Simple does not equate to easy, though. This is where the cooperation comes in with the Governments at UK and individual country level. As developers, we recognise that risk is a natural part of our business, but working within sensible timescales for grid and planning, aligned with a robust route to market process, really helps to make these acceptable to investors, too. "There is a need for pace and we need to pull our resources together with the Government Renewable Energy Taskforce and other initiatives to move forwards." ✍️ Read the full blog post by our Director of Onshore Projects, Derek Hastings 🔗 Up on our website now: https://lnkd.in/eGTP7GYt #onshorewind #renewableenergy #renewables

As the US election wraps up, we’re asking a key question at Esgian: What does this mean for offshore wind? In the short term, we expect minimal impact, with ongoing offshore wind projects set to move forward smoothly. 🌬 We’re optimistic that current awarded projects will generate positive momentum for renewables across the US market. 💡 However, our focus is on the long term, especially in terms of new awarded capacity and the overall growth of the offshore wind sector. 🔔 We’ll be diving deeper into this topic soon—reach out if you’d like more insights! #offshorewind #marketinsight #marketintelligence #marketanalysis #windenergy #forecast #capacity #development #offshorewindfarm
