Can polyacrylamide be used to precipitate sludge? In the process of oilfield extraction, the output fluid of the oil well will contain a certain amount of sludge.Polyacrylamide can gather the sludge particles together through adsorption, bridge, etc. to form a larger flocculation, so as to achieve the precipitation and separation of the sludge. #Polyacrylamide #Amide #Coalwashingplant #Construction site #Sewagetreatment #watertreatment

NAPL, short for non-aqueous phase liquid, refers to any organic liquid that does not easily mix with water, typically petroleum-based. NAPL exists in a range of densities compared to water, with LNAPL being lighter and floating while DNAPL is heavier and sinks. Examples of LNAPL include petrol and diesel, and DNAPLs encompass substances like creosote, coal tar, and trichloroethene (TCE). When NAPL is released into the environment, it can remain in soil pore spaces and rock fractures, leading to long-term contamination. At the Temple Island site in Bristol, a former diesel depot, ongoing remediation efforts are focused on eliminating diesel LNAPL from groundwater using in-situ thermal and multi-phase extraction as part of the Bristol Temple Quarter redevelopment project. #Remediation #LNAPL #Sanctus

Glad to share a desalination membrane replacement project here: The salt rejection rate of product was 99.02% in the first week of operation, and after 24 months of operation, the salt rejection rate of the system was stabilized at 98.15% – 98.22%. We tested the performance of the membranes at different temperatures and pressures for both the original brand membranes and our membranes. It is clear from the data that their system salt rejection rates are close to being in the same operating conditions. Up to now, the salt rejection rate and flux of the system are stable. In March 2023, 4,000 seawater desalination membrane elements were purchased and all have been replaced. In November 2023, 4,100 seawater desalination membranes were purchased again. #watertreatment #waterandwastewater #membranefiltration #wastewatertreatment #RO #reverseosmosis #waterpurification #desalination #watertreatmentplant #seawaterdesalination #ROmembranes #ROsystem

pH Balancing in Desalination with Calcite pH balancing is essential in producing high-quality desalinated water, and calcite is one of the most effective solutions available. After seawater undergoes desalination, the resulting water is typically low in pH, which can lead to issues like corrosion in pipes and equipment. Calcite, when introduced to the desalination process, acts as a buffering agent, gently neutralizing the acidic pH of the water and bringing it to a more neutral level. By dissolving slowly, calcite releases calcium ions that increase the water’s alkalinity, creating a balanced environment suitable for distribution and consumption. For both industrial and municipal desalination plants, maintaining a stable pH is not only beneficial for water quality but also a requirement for regulatory compliance. Using calcite ensures that the final product meets these standards, making it an essential component of any desalination system aiming to deliver safe, drinkable water. Curious about the chemistry behind calcite’s effectiveness? Keep following this series to learn more about how calcite supports water stability and quality in desalination. #WaterpH #Calcite #DesalinationSolutions #SafeWater

Top Factors Affecting Calcite Efficiency in Desalination Calcite’s efficiency in desalination depends on various factors, including water temperature, flow rate, and the initial pH level of the desalinated water. Higher temperatures can accelerate calcite dissolution, while slower flow rates allow for more effective remineralization. Water composition also plays a role, as the presence of other minerals can impact calcite’s dissolving rate. Understanding these factors helps desalination plants optimize their calcite use, ensuring effective remineralization. #silica #calcite

This was the hard reality about our client's desalination facility. Our MENA Region client, Despite with regular maintenance schedules. In the past few months, their plant performance affected, due to microbial development that blocks membranes, even with frequent antiscalant use. We analyzed their data, - The falling flow rates. - The rising pressure. - The microbial tests. - The Direct membrane inspection. - The cleaning frequency. To be exact, we found the problem: "A Poor Bio Resistant Properties." This causes a chain reaction of problems. We tried out one stream with pilot our with chemicals. In the end, The permeate flow stabilized, and the time between maintenance grew much better. Are you fed up with constant cleaning and unexpected downtimes? Talk to us at WATTEK TRADING LLC. Let’s enhance your Desalination treatment process together. Your plant deserves the best. Let’s get started! #wattektrading #mena #desalinationplant #chemicals #water

Can polyacrylamide precipitate sludge? Polyacrylamide can precipitate sludge.Polyacrylamide is a kind of high molecular polymer, which is often used as a flocculant in water treatment. When polyacrylamide is dissolved in water, its molecular chain can interact with the electric charge on the surface of the sludge particles to form flocs, which precipitate the sludge.Different types of sewage contain different suspended particles and impurities. The size of these particles. The shape and surface properties will affect the amount of polyacrylamide used. #Sewagetreatment #PolyaluminumChloride #Polyacrylamide #Wastewatertreatment #WatertreatmentAgent #environmentalprotection #cleanwater #flocculant #sandwashing #miningindustry #PAC #wastewater #water #PAM #sewage #WWTP #STP #ETP #WELLDONE #WelldoneChemical
