Diuretic Action: Thanks to its sulfur compounds, black radish possesses diuretic and depurative properties that promote the elimination of excess water through the kidneys. By stimulating renal function, black radish aids in flushing out toxins and maintaining a healthy fluid balance in the body. Incorporate this remarkable vegetable into your diet to support kidney health and promote optimal hydration. Yesterday we talked about a common issue many face, chronic constipation. I know we would rather not admit this is an issue we have, but it's far too common not to address. Why do these problems happen in the first place? Well, it's likely you need to digestive support. Here are some of the reasons your gut health could be a bit off. Common causes of digestive dysfunction, and the ways you can prevent it from getting worse... Not chewing your food properly: this causes it not to be broken down completely, leaving undigested food in your digestive tract, causing overgrowth of opportunistic gut bacteria. Not enough stomach acid: this can cause food not to be disinfected in the digestive process, giving pathogenic bacteria the chance to creep into your digestive tract. This can also prevent certain nutrients from being absorbed, leading to deficiencies. You'll often hear "you what you eat" but it should really go more like "you are what you absorb". Chronic stress: stress negatively impacts digestive function. When your body is constantly trying to combat stress, digestion takes a back seat. A heavily processed diet: eating a nutrient dense diet is going to be one of your best defenses in creating a resilient gut. When you eat a diet that consists mainly of sugary, nutrient poor foods it can cause inflammation, weakening your gut. Having too much alcohol can also cause damage to the gut an immune system. Medications: Overuse of many everyday medications like NSAIDS, antibiotics, oral contraceptives, steroids and acid blocking drugs can increase issues with proper gut function. That said, there are times where certain medications may be medically necessary, so make sure to support your gut while on any of these medications. If you suspect your gut health could use some support, let me help you! Let's book a free discovery call and find out if we'd be a good fit to work together. https://lnkd.in/eVnYkKRB

Potential Side Effects of ABC Juice 🍎Kidney Stone Risk Beetroots, a crucial component in ABC juice, contain high levels of oxalates, which may lead to kidney stone formation in certain people. While modest beetroot consumption is unlikely to be significantly risky, people who have a history of kidney stones or are more susceptible to oxalate-related problems should proceed with caution and seek medical advice before adding ABC juice to their diet. 🍎Blood Sugar Concern: Although most people consider the natural sugars in apples and carrots to be healthy, diabetic patients should keep an eye on their blood sugar levels when ingesting fruit juices, such as ABC juice. For personalized guidance, it is advisable to seek advice from a healthcare provider before you start consuming the ABC juice. 🍎Gastrointestinal Distress: ABC juice's high fiber content may cause gastrointestinal discomfort, particularly for those with sensitive digestive systems. Make sure to consume fiber-rich foods like ABC juice in moderation and gradually increase your fiber intake to avoid experiencing bloating, gas, or diarrhoea due to lack of hydration. It's critical to pay attention to your body's signals and begin with smaller portions of ABC juice, progressively increasing consumption as your digestive system becomes acclimated.

ROOT CAUSES OF GUT INFLAMMATION Understanding the underlying causes of gut inflammation is essential for achieving foundational well-being. Many factors can disrupt our digestive health, leading to chronic discomfort and long-term issues. Here are some key culprits: - Food Sensitivities: Reactions to certain foods can trigger inflammation and discomfort in the gut. - Inflammatory Diet: Diets high in processed foods, sugars, and unhealthy fats can wreak havoc on gut health. - Poor Sleep: Inadequate rest can weaken your immune system and lead to increased inflammation. - Medication Usage: Overuse of medications, especially antibiotics, can disrupt the gut microbiome, leading to inflammation. - Gut Infections: Bacterial, viral, or fungal infections can irritate the gut lining and cause inflammation. - Poor Bile Flow/Enzyme Production: Insufficient bile and digestive enzymes hinder proper digestion and contribute to inflammation. - Low Stomach Acid Levels: Stomach acid is essential for digestion; low levels can lead to bacterial overgrowth and inflammation. - Chronic Stress: Persistent stress can impair gut function and promote inflammation. - SIBO/Autoimmune Conditions: Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth and autoimmune disorders can directly contribute to gut inflammation. To a large extent our digestive systems dictate our quality of life. We literally become what we eat, digest and assimilate. Once your health is compromised through poor eating habits, antibiotics or stress, often the first sign of strain manifests in some sort of digestive problem. At this stage targeted nutrients are needed to restore health. Probiotics are arguably the most important element in the digestive health equation, no matter what the condition. The word probiotic means ‘for life’. Digestive enzymes can be very helpful for the entire digestive process by facilitating the digestion of undigested food in the stomach ( a common cause of heartburn).
