Great to have eftec CEO and founder Ece Ozdemiroglu in Dublin for a public lecture, followed by a full day workshop Trinity Business School, exploring insights on #EnvironmentalEconomics, #EcosystemAccounting and #NaturalCapital thinking. 🌿 Key takeaways: the importance of communicating with various groups, breaking down siloes, working together, for joined-up, long term thinking to scale up innovative and effective moves #ForNature - how #NaturalCapitalAccounting is about finding a common language to make it clear to the corporates and policymakers - the ones holding the purse strings - that we need to invest in #nature, in #biodiversity, #carbon, #health the many related #EcosystemServices by showing their true value, often overlooked, in quantifiable terms - #EcosystemAccounting can show us the huge risks of taking nature for granted for our economy and society, as well as the opportunities for those who show leadership in this space. “No particular discipline has the monopoly on sustainability solutions.
