Nemisindo, founded by Joshua Reiss, generates original sound effects in real time, creating sounds which are truly believable - rather than relying on pre-recorded effects which are never quite right. The technology uses AI to reorganise the light passing through the optical fibre - creating clear and useful images in real time. Pragmatic Genomics, founded by Yannick Wurm, allows every biologist to be a bioinformatician through intuitive comparison and visualisation of DNA and protein sequences. Mebomine, founded by Conrad Bessant, Fabrizio Smeraldi, and Maryam Abdollahyan, puts patients at the heart of health #research by gaining clinical insights from the information people share in online patient communities. It's the ultimate virtual focus group. iHeF, founded by Nay Aung uses AI to predict heart failure. The technology is based on an inexpensive and widely available electrocardiogram which could save health services substantial sums by removing the need for unnecessary testing. 📚 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐨𝐨𝐧! 🏥 I’m pleased to share that I’ve been working on a cutting-edge research project titled “𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐠𝐧𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐥𝐚𝐮𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐚 𝐔𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐬.” Glaucoma, a leading cause of vision loss, demands early and accurate diagnosis. My research focuses on developing a machine learning framework that not only predicts glaucoma but also provides transparent, interpretable insights into the diagnosis process. By integrating clinical data like fundus images, retinal nerve fiber layer tests, and intraocular pressure measurements, we aim to improve glaucoma detection. In this project, we are utilizing advanced machine learning models like 𝗡𝗮𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝘆𝗲𝘀, 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗺 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗚𝗕𝗠, ensuring both precision and explainability in diagnosis.
