https://lnkd.in/gvH6WuTx Digital health is a tough place for startups. While it appears as a doomsday, there's no denial that digital health is a priority for players in the industry esp for tracking progression on chronic diseases and care continuum beyond hospital. The shift from wellness to clinical in digital health is fueling growth of market. Digital health is future. However, successful launch requires robust real world evidence, commercial strategies including reimbursements. Important to work with a partner who has experience in navigating regulatory pathways and human centered design to build seamless digital workflow experience to HCPs and patients, two critical stakeholders who make or break the digital health.

Interesting piece that reaffirms adaptability as a key differentiator through the digital health evolution. It's easier said than done, but companies truly need to understand provider needs before anything else; only after the fact can they successfully position their solutions as integral partners in care delivery. Considering value and outcomes at the outset sets the stage for more sustainable growth down the road. #DigitalHealth #FutureOfHealthcare #Innovation

A year ago, I posed a question: Are digital health solutions actually solutions? Now, the latest findings from the Peterson Health Technology Institute (PHTI) are in, and they're eye-opening. As a physician, I'm deeply invested in how these technologies impact patient care... The report highlights a significant challenge: many digital health startups, despite their high funding, haven't convincingly demonstrated their effectiveness in improving health outcomes or reducing costs. P Particularly in diabetes management, the evidence for meaningful clinical benefits and cost savings is lacking. This revelation prompts a critical reflection for us in the digital health arena: How do we build trust and ensure our solutions deliver real value? I believe the answer lies in marrying solution development with rigorous evidence gathering. Doing so is necessary to win over clinicians, payers, and investors in a crowded marketplace. I spoke to Dr Arrash Yassaee about what does success look like in terms of partnerships between solution providers and health care orgs. Key takeaways: The single greatest enabler of success is are you aligned on values. Are you a health care company that is using tech as a modality to improve health care quality? Or are you a tech company that just happens to be marketing their product to health care organisations. People in health care can spot the difference. Health care orgs can be increasingly forgiving with providers if they are aligned on values. Being misaligned on values will cause a lot of resistance or even breakdowns in partnerships between providers and healthcare orgs. We are no longer in the heat of the pandemic, healthcare orgs have less urgency when it comes to digital disruption. There is no longer an appetite to "innovate for the sake of innovating".
