East Frontage Road has been relocated for safety, and auxiliary lanes on I-55 have been added between Illinois 59 and U.S. 52 to enhance vehicle flow. The Illinois 59 and Seil Road intersection has been modernized with pedestrian access, new sidewalks, and a multiuse path connects to local trails. Our team has reached substantial completion on the I-76 York to Dahlia Road project for the Colorado Department of Transportation, making a busy stretch of Colorado interstate safer. "We couldn't be happier with the delivery of this project for the Adams County community," said Grant Johns, Vice President and District Manager for Colorado. "The Colorado Department of Transportation was a great partner, supporting all our needs. We also worked alongside excellent subcontractors, many of whom are Disadvantaged Business Enterprise certified." A core element of the project was the demolition of the westbound and eastbound I-76 bridges over York Street. CDOT determined that the structures, built in 1967, needed to be removed and replaced for the long-term safety of the traveling public. A single, stronger bridge is now open with wider shoulders for safer travel. I-76 is heavily used by commercial vehicles, and ensuring the new bridge could withstand heavy use was a top priority for our team. Additionally, the project team installed fresh pavement on I-76 and on connecting ramps, keeping safety in mind. A new auxiliary lane feeding onto the interstate will alleviate a major choke point. #TransformingInfrastructure #FlatironProject #RoadInfrastructure #HighwayConstruction
