The period from 2025 to 2030 is expected to pose significant challenges regarding refrigerants, as several new regulations will apply in many countries. For instance, the EU has recently adopted the new F-gas regulation and is considering a proposal to restrict the use of PFAS. In the US, the AIM Act regulates the use of HFC refrigerants, while other countries such as China, Canada, Australia, and Japan have also imposed regulations on these refrigerants. Gain a deeper understanding of the scenarios in different countries for various HVAC/R applications by reading the blog post written by Miriam Solana Ciprés, HVAC/R Technical Knowledge Specialist: https://bit.ly/4byTvfX #CARELknowledge #HVACR #Fgas #AIMact #HeatPumps

The new F-gas regulation is stricter than its precedent. And this may be a surprise to none. ☝️ In the mid-March 2024, the European Union's new regulation on fluorinated gases, so called F-gases, started to apply. ➡️ Changes push towards natural refrigerants: https://lnkd.in/dwQZuYfc #Caverion #BuildingPerformance

What’s your refrigerant strategy for 2025? 🕛 It’s time to make your move. In the RACHP industry the legislative landscape for refrigerants has been changing on a regular basis since the adoption of the Vienna Convention for the protection of the ozone layer in 1988, and the introduction of the first regulation to control the use of chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) in 1991. So why is the current round of legislative update causing a degree of concern and confusion? For the first time since refrigerant legislation was introduced, Great Britain (GB) will have different legislation to the European Union (EU). Even more confusing, due to the complexities of the Brexit agreement, Northern Ireland (NI) will have to follow the EU legislation. Whilst the EU has already drafted, agreed and implemented the next iteration of F-Gas legislation, all of us in GB are still waiting to see the draft proposal that will govern the decisions on how our industry will have to operate in the future. Fibox Cardmaster in Action: Ask what we can do for you
Another commissioning completed this week, this time it was our Medem Sec-Bv4 panel. The system was installed in a plantroom and was monitoring 2x LPG detectors and 2x Carbon Monoxide detectors. The selection of the Sec-B panel was due facilitate the safe auto restart of the gas system one power is restored following a power outage. The Sec-B panel will conduct an 'integrity' test of the gas pipework before re-opening the gas slam shut valve. This ensures a higher level of safety within the plantroom. We were also able to delay the reopening of the gas slam shut valve by 2 minutes to allow a 'truer' test of the gas line whereby other appliances don't use any gas that is in the line during the integrity test. #gassafety #medem #modernplant
