💡Coupled Driving: Transport Bulky Loads with AGVs and AMRs 🚀AGVs and AMRs have transformed productivity across industries, moving payloads up to 450 tons to handle heavy transport needs. But what about exceptionally large or uncommonly shaped items, like those in aircraft, train, or windmill manufacturing? Our Coupled Drive feature addresses this challenge by enabling two AGVs to work in tandem. Whether driving side-by-side or consecutively, they can jointly transport huge payloads, such as aircraft components, with ease and precision. 🤝 With the Coupled Drive feature, two or more AGVs are driving together maintaining a fixed position to each other. Coordinated motion is achieved with a Leader-Follower structure, where the Leader controls the position of both AGVs so that the load on top of the vehicles follows a specified path while the Follower listens to the Leader's controls and tries to minimize the error relative to the load. This feature ensures seamless, safe, and efficient automated operations, no matter the load size or shape. Moreover, the feature makes your fleet versatile, since you can use your AGVs individually for smaller loads and combine the same AGVs for handling huge loads. Want to see it in action? Check out this video from our customer STÄUBLI Robotics in the aeronautics sector to see how Coupled Drive makes a difference in handling massive and sensitive components ✈️ https://lnkd.in/ddEVMMF2

Reliable Robotics advances towards certification of its automated flight systems Reliable Robotics, a Silicon Valley startup that develops automated flight systems, announced on February 12, 2024, that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has approved the definition of requirements necessary for its navigation and autopilot systems to be certified. The system being developed by Reliable Robotics is designed to provide continuous autopilot engagement throughout all phases of flight and aims to make it possible to fully automate the taxiing, takeoff and landing phases. It also aims to drastically reduce any instances of controlled flight into terrain (CFIT) and loss of control in flight (LOC-I), which are two of the main causes of flight accidents. Evolution, not Revolution: SAAB's Autonomous Ocean Core Unveiling at #Euronaval2024 In a significant move for maritime autonomy, SAAB has introduced their vessel-agnostic Autonomous Ocean Core system - a development that validates our vision at Capitana for the future of maritime operations. What caught our attention: • Open architecture design enabling continuous capability expansion • Baseline autonomy for both surface and subsurface vessels • Multi-mode operation flexibility • Built-in safety protocols that remain intact with system upgrades • "Out of the box" operational readiness As Mats Wicksell, SVP of SAAB's Business Area Kockums notes, this system addresses the "dull, dirty, dangerous and dear" aspects of maritime operations - a philosophy that resonates deeply with our own approach to maritime innovation. The maritime industry is clearly moving beyond traditional operational paradigms. As we prepare to contribute to this transformation, it's encouraging to see established players laying the groundwork for a more autonomous, efficient future at sea. The oceans are finally opening up! #MaritimeTechnology #AutonomousVessels #NavalInnovation #MaritimeSafety #FutureOfMaritime https://lnkd.in/gVFH-CcH

🤯🔥𝙒𝙃𝙔 𝘿𝙄𝘿 𝙈𝙀𝙍𝘾𝙀𝘿𝙀𝙎 𝘿𝙀𝘾𝙄𝘿𝙀 𝙉𝙊𝙏 𝙏𝙊 𝙎𝙀𝙇𝙇 𝙄𝙏𝙎 𝙂𝙍𝙀𝘼𝙏𝙀𝙎𝙏 𝘾𝙍𝙀𝘼𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉? The Mercedes-Benz AG C111 is an enigma in automotive history. Known for its unique design and advanced technology, Mercedes kept this experimental vehicle as an exclusive prototype, never releasing it for sale. But what makes it so special? ✅️ Debuting in 1969, the C111 was a test bed on wheels, introducing the rotary Wankel engine with three and four rotors, achieving speeds over 300 km/h. ✅️ The C111-II version, powered by a four-rotor engine with 350 HP, could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under 5 seconds—an impressive feat for its time. ✅️ Mercedes also experimented with diesel engines in the C111-III, setting diesel speed records in 1978, reaching a top speed of 338 km/h at the Nardò circuit. ✅️ The final C111-IV version featured a twin-turbo V8, reaching an astonishing 404 km/h, making it one of the fastest cars of its era. Although hundreds tried to buy one of these unique examples, Mercedes never authorized its sale. Today, the C111 remains a captivating relic, displayed at the Mercedes-Benz Museum—a gem that few have had the fortune to see up close and even fewer to drive. ------ 📣Remember to follow me Luis L. 👉 Linkedin Direct Follow Link: https://lnkd.in/dPY4CV2Y 🫡 If you want more content about #Aviation #eVTOL #Drones #Airports #Innovation or #Tech 👉Follow Negocio Aeroespacial to learn everything about the aerospace and defense sector. 👉Follow DronePro and explore the world's first and largest professional drone community. 🔥 Re-share and comment, is the only way for me to have feedback from you 📨Contact me if you need any support, I will love to help you . 👏👏👏 ------ 🧑🚀🧑✈️Let's Connect: https://lnkd.in/eqGNeXqt

We are in the age of smart factories, where automation is critical. A big part of this change is automated guided vehicles (AGVs)—unmanned vehicles that change how materials are moved through assembly and maintenance, repair, and overhaul operation (MRO) processes.
