It was an interesting webinar, where the President of the Port Authority Autoridad Portuaria Bahía de Algeciras - Port of Algeciras, Mr Gerardo Landaluce began the event with a series of reflections on the current state of the #emissions #regime (#ETS) in global #maritime #transportation. He emphasised that "it is a case of #inconsistency," both in #legislation and in #european #policies, and concerning the activity of maritime transport, and specifically in #container #transport. He supports the #green #deal but highlighted the need to distinguish between #principles and #objectives and their implementation. He noted the lack of alignment in #EU #policies, which could affect the #competitiveness of #european #ports and the security of #logistics #chains. Luis Núñez, Head of the European Projects Division at the Autoridad Portuaria Bahía de Algeciras - Port of Algeciras, emphasised the significant role of the #observatory and the importance of continuing its progress. "We need to be prepared to assess the impact of the ETS within a two-year timeframe, a crucial period for adaptation and alignment with European #environmental #regulations," he stated. He further highlighted that "what the European Commission demands is data, which is why we are working on this observatory," underscoring the necessity of detailed and focused work on this observatory.

These are great news. The Parque Industrial de Servicios Petroleros y Mineros Pata Mora (PPM) is a significant industrial project located in Mendoza, Argentina. The PPM is strategically located 300 kilometers south of the city of Malargüe and is set to become the most important service hub in the Cuyo region, serving the petroleum and mining industries. The PPM is situated in a strategic area on the border between Mendoza and Neuquén, where most of the province’s mining and petroleum explorations and exploitations are located. The PPM will serve as a hub for the petroleum and mining industries, providing services to dozens of operators. This will stimulate the local economy and create opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises and complementary service providers. The project is expected to generate local employment opportunities, contributing to the economic stability of the region, and it is poised to bring about significant economic, social, and infrastructural benefits to the local communities, while also taking into account environmental considerations.

🚅🚃🚃 Hoy os mostramos los avances en la nueva plataforma intermodal ferroviaria del Puerto Seco que #Azvi está ejecutando en #Salamanca. 🔚 Hasta el momento, se ha finalizado la construcción del muro de contención de tierras de 16 m de altura y 227 m de longitud, así como el paso inferior bajo la N-620, destinado a maniobras en la plataforma. 🔛Continúa la ejecución de la losa de la plataforma, de 49.000 m2, y los trabajos en la superestructura que combina vía sobre balasto y vía en placa en la zona de contenedores. ✔️ La plataforma conectará la línea de ferrocarril convencional Salamanca - Fuentes de Oñoro con una playa de seis vías (cinco vías y una vía mango) por la que circularán trenes de hasta 750 m. ✔️ Se convertirá en un nodo logístico de la Red Global del Corredor Atlántico que impulsará el transporte de mercancías por ferrocarril en la zona aprovechando la ubicación estratégica de Salamanca. 👷♂️👷♀️ El proyecto está siendo ejecutado en consorcio junto con CONSTRUCCIONES MARTOBAR SL y OBRAS Y CONTRATAS THC SL Lee la noticia completa 👇 https://lnkd.in/eN6D92eV #InfraestructurasFerroviarias #Intermodalidad #MovilidadSostenible
