Reflecting on our shared humanity is crucial in a world that is increasingly divided along lines of race and economic status. As grandparents, parents, and professionals, we must question the systems that perpetuate inequality. The reality is stark: over 117 million people were displaced in 2023 due to racial discrimination, according to the UN. This figure isn’t just a statistic—it’s a call to action edpcily when you see what’s happening in European countries. Racism, as a divisive force, seeks to undermine our progress by tying economic hardships to race, rather than addressing the systemic issues at play. In education, this manifests in the unequal value placed on institutions in the Global North compared to those in the Global South, where educational investment is three times higher. Such disparities reinforce the notion that one's potential and opportunities are dictated by race—a dangerous and flawed narrative. As we move forward not just as leaders, but as concerned global citizens, it’s imperative to challenge these narratives, ensuring that education and opportunity are accessible to all, regardless of race or background. Our children, like Adam, deserve to grow up in a world where they are valued for their abilities and not judged by the color of their skin. #Speak up India ! #Courage of #Conviction While here at Linked-in we restrict ourselves to so called #Professional canvass, the larger issue of our individual #contribution towards #society takes a back seat. I feel, whichever #profession that we are, or whichever individual capacity we serve-in, the larger picture of acting upon our convictions must be practised. By no means must we misconstrue speaking up for the #right as #arrogance. On the contrary, growing with convictions keeps us #humble ! Leave aside the rising #crimes in the society, the most that must shake us up is the #wrongs thrust upon the #downtrodden . A call of the #conscience is the voice of conviction. It can happen only if the #humane touch and the #love for #nature is ingrained amongst us ! We can all practise a bit of courage without assuming the role of #moral policing. Let the #policing role remain with the #HR or the #Security. As an individual, we ourselves, have to tread the right path; even always "err on the right" . I do hope that we can #strengthen our convictions early in life, and that we can imbibe the #courage of conviction simultaneously. To rise to the occasion, or just a speak up can do wonders in #salvaging #injustice in our close environment and in the society.

Most of us don't want to care about anything that doesn't directly concern us...like genocide, oppression of the weaker sections, the increasing crimes. But not wanting to is not equal to not needing to. Nobody wants to care but they need to. It's the responsibility that comes with being a human, having some sort of privilege over others. It's a privilege to be alive when a woman got raped and murdered for just existing, when a migrant worker and a student got murdered by cow-vigilantes who had "suspicions", being targeted for being a minority whether you're a Hindu in a Muslim country or a muslim in a Hindu country, for being born in a wrong country with wrong religion.. It's a privilege really, asking for justice for them and not being a victim. It's not fun, it's not even obligatory in a legal sense, but it's the price you should be willing to pay because you recognise your privilege and are grateful for it and not entitled. As they said..the dead cannot demand justice, it's the duty of the living to fight for them. 3 questions we call “must haves”. They’re the questions to which, as Christians, we really must be able to answer yes for a job opportunity to be a real option for us (A Series) 1. Does this glorify God? Is what I would be doing in this job honoring to the Lord, or does it dishonor and disobey him? Here we have to exclude lines of work that would be inherently sinful. Working as a hitman, a drug pusher or runner, or a staff member at an abortion clinic dishonors God and is forbidden for a Bible believer. Of course, things aren’t always quite that clear! Lines can be blurry, and people’s consciences will feel differently about different lines of work. In general though, it’s important to start here.
