I was having mixed feelings when my summer internship was going to start. 😰😃 PS: It was an online internship due to COVID -19 & all of us were quite new to working in the online set-up back then. 🧑💻 (Disclaimer 📢: Don't consider these as tips to grab a PPO because I wasn't there for a PPO. I was just there to learn & experience that new opportunity) ✍️ So here I am sharing my experience & what I did to make the most out of it. ♦️I made myself familiar: First things first I connected with my manager very early, made myself comfortable working with him. (even before the start of the internship & as advised by him I started working/researching on the project 1 week before the actual date of the onboarding)🙋 ♦️I wanted to give my 100% to the project & so I religiously followed the instructions given by my buddy & manager. 🙌 ♦️ I used to take initiatives to solve any doubts I had by connecting with my buddy & then with my manager on a regular basis. 🤳 ♦️ I used to submit the progress report to HR every week to avoid any miscommunications. 🙅 ♦️ In our Fun Friday activities I tried my best to participate as much as I could (although during the first activity itself I strained my muscle & then afterwards my health limited me from giving my best) ♦️ I tried my best to learn new things (new features of excel, PPT etc from my friends, YouTube etc) To be honest it was a great learning experience as I got to interact with a lot of senior leaders too. 💯 ♦️ I never refrained from apologising to my manager & buddy if I made any mistakes. I hope it helps! You can gain something from my experience if you are not there just for the PPO & You also want to make the most of your summer internship process. 😀
