As a global economy continues to pose significant risks to all life on Earth, a powerful counter-trend is emerging, as millions work towards a system shift that prioritises cultural and biological diversity. Grassroots initiatives like syntropic food forest farming, seed saving and community composting stations for soil resilience are gaining traction, highlighting how important biodiversity becomes in both food production and sustainable agriculture - without resorting to the use of GMOs. As more farms begin to connect directly with consumers through the farm-to-table movement, local economies begin to thrive and take on a life of their own - bolstering not only the life of the soil, but encouraging food resilience, sovereignty, and the wellbeing of the local community.
