Lal Bahadur Shastri, the second Prime Minister of India, is often remembered for his slogan "Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan." But there's so much more to his legacy. His life was a powerful example of ethics, accountability, and simplicity—qualities that are rare in leadership today. When a train accident occurred during his tenure as Railway Minister, he offered his resignation, showing an unparalleled sense of responsibility. During his imprisonment in the freedom struggle, Shastri Ji returned to jail early despite being granted leave for his daughter’s funeral—honoring his word even in personal grief. Known for living humbly and earning the title of "the politician who made no money," Shastri embodied austerity and selfless service. His leadership, rooted in integrity and sacrifice, sets a high bar for what public service truly means. The rich class and elite class prime minister Modiji. But does rich class and elite class really need political backing to feed on their never quenching greed and desires? or does the poor, the under represented, the under previliged or historically exploited ones need political support because historically their strengths and opportunities have been curbed by the rich, the elite, the previliged ones to satisfy their never quenching greed and to skew the game towards their side. Corporate India is completely bullish on Modi. But the mass, the poor, naive ones, the exploited ones are blind folded without realising that their modiji dont care about them at all. Capitalism rewards only those who are capable and the ones who can afford. So, is it not government's job to protect the weak and the poor? P. S.
