In recognition of our leadership in corporate purpose initiatives in Singapore, RGE was recently invited by the National Council of Social Service (NCSS) to participate in an enriching panel discussion -- "Transformational Leadership - Taking Quantum Leaps for Greater Volunteer Impact” -- at the NCSS Volunteer Management Developmental Camp. RGE was represented on the panel by Benny Lee, Executive Vice President of External Affairs. Speaking alongside Theresa Goh CK, Chairperson of Charity Council, and Cheryl Chen, President of S&P Global Foundation, and moderator Yuvan Mohan, Member of Families for Life Council, Benny spoke to more than 30 appointed NCSS Volunteer Management Champions (VMCs) and potential VMCs from Social Service Agencies. In his sharing, Benny highlighted RGE's commitment to corporate purpose through our 5Cs business philosophy — that everything we do must first be good for the community, country, climate and customer, and only then will it be good for the company. He also spoke about the benefit of aligning social initiatives with the corporate frameworks of businesses, which can help encourage greater buy-in of corporate volunteerism within organisations. One key takeaway from Benny was the power of collaboration in amplifying the impact of volunteer efforts. As he expressed during the panel, initiatives like those facilitated by NCSS bring volunteer management champions together, fostering partnerships and synergy. By working as an ecosystem, we multiply the effects of our collective actions, creating tangible, far-reaching benefits for our communities. #Volunteerism #SocialImpact #Collaboration #Leadership #CommunityEngagement
