You may wonder, what is a reverse job fair? A reverse job fair is when a job seeker sits at a table with their resume, interests, skills and certifications are all laid out on a table, and employers come up to them to see if they are interested in working with them. For both participants as well as employers they can register at these links: This is the link for employers to register: https://lnkd.in/g5_gURH3 This is the link for job seeker registration: https://lnkd.in/gHsHzBdP Please note: It is truly preferred that they sign up ahead of time, to properly get them set up there is an amount of prep work to be done so just showing up isn’t ideal, especially as space can be limited. It is a fantastic event. As well, please note that this is an event for participants who self-identify as having a disability.

Forces Transition Group Ltd - A big up to another fantastic Military Spouse in Faye Waterfield who along with several spouses attended the Online Job Fair on Friday. Faye, you are now an active and fully fledged Hunter 🐺 and I have no doubt you will begin to see your future with our partners, everything we do from FREE CVs, to FREE Courses to Job Acceleration is there for you. The FTG support is about far more than the Service Leaver, we prefer Service User, which gives us a more rounded process and more opportunity for everyone from candidate to business. Every year we see many Military Spouses for example creating a career which is what we have been asked to do by our family of Spouses, but more need to know we exist and are there for them.......but is it because of the name 🤔 we see reduced presence. STEREO-TYPICAL TITLES - CAN WE REMOVE THESE? The reason we want to use the wording Service User is we believe we can move away from the stereo-typical titles which can pigeon hole us into false areas and belief. We know that Faye is super talented, but is she helped with a Military Spouse sub title, I'm not sure. We are all equal and all hold valuable qualities and skills that are needed within the work place and pre-conceived opinion on these titles can be destructive. So, please pass this on to everyone within the Military Family and Community, what we do is for everyone, yes it will be dominated by those leaving the forces, but opportunity is there for us all to pivot when we leave this environment or move within it. What's your opinion on 'The Military Spouse' as a title, do you like it, or not? Have a magical Sunday 🐺 the hunt is on again from tomorrow and make sure you sign up for our next Live Online Job Fair. 🎄Christmas Special - Thu 12th Dec www.ftgjobfairs.com - Book Now Serve Well, Leave Well and Flourish!
