Today the graduate students at my Soil-Structure Interaction and Foundation Design class presented their projects. They performed finite element analysis for three real projects. They started from the geotech report to calcuate the constitutive model parameter, used the design drawings to build the geometry of the structures, and then performed the analysis and discussed the results. I was very happy with their understanding of the topics. I was also impressed by their effort in preparing their presentations.
