Great sessions last week at the London Build Expo Perhaps too many to pick from for just one post, but found the 'Digital Construction is from Mars and Digital Operations is from Venus panel' (moderated by Justin Kirby) super insightful + the best named panel to be sure... 👏 Success Story from Isny: Innovation and Sustainability in Focus! Since 1953, Früchte Jork GmbH in Isny has stood for quality and tradition. With the construction of a state-of-the-art, fully automated deep-freeze warehouse, our partner HSS GmbH Kälte & Klimatechnik has achieved another milestone. 🔧 Technical Highlights: - Two TEKO ROXSTA G6 units, each with 110 kW deep-freeze and 100 kW normal cooling capacity. - Efficient groundwater cooling for summer optimization. - Prepared for heat recovery and warm brine defrosting for all evaporators <0°C. - Cutting-edge control technology provided by WURM ensures optimal system performance. 🔄 Sustainable Modernization: - Decommissioning of old R290 units and CO₂ cascades to ensure future-proof cooling and deep-freeze rooms. - Improved working conditions: Thanks to the new warehouse, employees no longer need to work in -20°C temperatures. 💡 🏗️ The new deep-freeze warehouse at a glance: - 1,080 m² fully automated warehouse. - Space for 25,000 tray storage slots. - Powerful: Up to 300 trays can be stored and retrieved per hour. The Siplast story began in Paris in the 1950s as pioneers in modern waterproofing. We developed a game-changing innovation a decade later: SBS (styrene-butadiene-styrene) modified bitumens. This breakthrough – the result of close collaboration between Siplast Research and Development and Shell Chemical of Europe – found that the proper modification of asphalt with SBS produces a highly durable elastomeric blend with exceptional elongation and recovery properties across a wide temperature range. Since then, Siplast Engineered Roof Systems have been applied across all types of deck construction in the varied – and occasionally extreme—weather conditions of 40+ countries.
