This is a reality many face when shouldering all the responsibilities of running a business. At Nearshore.io, we understand the weight of that pressure. That’s why delegating some projects isn’t just a strategy to increase sales; it’s an investment in your time, peace of mind, and overall well-being. Working with us doesn’t mean more work for you. 🌶️ I admit it. I think friends with benefits are great 🌶️ Work friends with benefits that is. I was lucky enough to start Jetty with two of my oldest work pals. Here’s why you should absolutely launch a company with a bestie or two. 🫣 Hard conversations, come easy It’s often easier to be honest and address tricky situations head on when you know you’ll always be able to work through it. Time builds trust… and trust counts for a lot. 🌱 Values are likely to align If you’ve been friends for years, you hopefully share a similar outlook on life and work. Not to be underestimated when building a company. 🏆 No politics, just best outcomes When you know each other's strengths and weaknesses you are free to play to them, without worrying about egos or ulterior motives getting in the way. 👂Understanding equals empathy Knowing more about a person and their life outside of work helps us act with more grace. Plus you’ll know which Taylor Swift tune to play to perk your bestie up!! 💰Good for you, good for business Having a close work pal can increase productivity, engagement and happiness at work. Especially in our new remote / hybrid world. 🤣 And oh the lols you’ll have… As a founder, there will be god awful days. Having someone to laugh through them with is sometimes the only thing that keeps you going! #femalefounder #startup #workbestie

Letting go. Sometimes difficult. I find it hard to switch off on weekends. Also in the evenings. Also on vacation. In general. As a founder, there's often no “end of the workday.” As an entrepreneur, it's the same - you often go to bed with problems. This is the case for many founders. This is the case for many people. I know just as many founders who have it “under control.” Who have a “work/life” balance. For their own health and the health of their company. I find this difficult. To completely switch off. Recently, I made a dream come true. To be weightless. To switch off my mind. To simply be a child. I wish all entrepreneurs, founders, and everyone else who works hard and sometimes can't switch off - take a break. Find something that helps you switch off your mind. 🪐 -------------------- With allygatr 🐊, we invest in young HR tech start-ups and help them to become more successful quickly. Here's the truth about being an executive assistant to startup founders. Not every day is a big win. Some days, it's just stopping small problems before they get worse. Last week, I had an intense discussion with a founder. He was drowning and already getting frustrated. He juggles complex project timelines and everyday tasks and also has to make strategic decisions for his startup. (all while trying to keep his mental health intact). Being an executive assistant isn't always about the big issues. Sometimes, it's about handling those minor issues that can hinder the big success. My job isn't about making everything perfect. It's about giving smart people room to do their best work. Sometimes that means ~ Knowing when to say no ~ Keeping their focus clear ~ Staying calm when things get tough Remember, Your business doesn't deserve to be messy. PS: Happy December! Holiday in view 😁 PPS: If you want to make 2025 a great one for your startup. Send me a DM right away!

Small Wins in Startup x Founder's Mental Health In my last post, I talked about how startup life = chaos, and discussed someways to improve founders mental health as a whole. However, a great way to improve mental wellness within your work environment is to celebrate the small wins in your business journey. Whether it's launching a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) or securing your first customer, these milestones carry immense significance and deserve recognition. Why are these celebrations so important? Firstly, they create a sense of progress and accomplishment, two important feelings research has show to boost team morale and fostering a positive mindset crucial for overcoming challenges. Secondly, celebrating small wins creates a great culture of appreciation and unity within your team, acknowledging each member's contributions and building a cohesive workforce. Lastly, these celebrations break down scary goals (like grow an idea to a unicorn🦄) into manageable milestones, creating momentum and confidence as you progress in your startup. So, as you navigate the startup journey, remember to pause, and celebrate every triumph, no matter how small. Embrace the power of celebrating small wins as fuel for the momentum needed to propel your startup to success. #startupsuccess #smallwins #startupculture #mentalhealthmatters

Regrets I Have as a Founder 1. Not working 24/7, including weekends and bank holidays. Sleep is for the weak! 2. Taking actual lunch breaks instead of surviving on protein shakes and motivation I foolishly believed that food and human interaction were necessary. Rookie mistake. 3. Maintaining personal relationships outside of networking events Friends and family? In this economy? Not a chance. 4. Occasionally indulging in hobbies that don't "scale" Reading for pleasure? Going for a walk? If it doesn't have a clear ROI, it's a waste of time. 5. Not turning every conversation into a pitch opportunity "Lovely weather we're having" should always be followed by "... perfect for using our revolutionary platform!" Pfft. People will have you believe you need to be on the grind 24/7 to build a successful startup. The reality? The first few years of building a startup involve loads of hard work, But it also involves finding your balance And as your startup scales You realise that life has to be more than just working every waking hour If you're working all the time, You're likely to burn out long before you reach the finish line. So find what works for you, have a life outside work, and remember that sometimes, the best ideas come when you're not staring at a screen. Agree? #StartupMyths #WorkLifeBalance #FounderSanity

The startup founders need time management Everyone talks about time management, but as a startup founder, I've learned it's not just about productivity—it's about survival. When I launched my company, I thought working around the clock was the key to success. I couldn't have been more wrong. Burnout hit hard and I realized that managing my time wasn't just important—it was crucial. Here's what I've learned about real time management: First, it's about prioritization. Not all tasks are created equal. I use the Eisenhower Matrix to sort tasks by urgency and importance. This helps me focus on what truly moves the needle for my business. Second, it's about saying no. As a founder, opportunities and requests bombard you constantly. Learning to say no to the good to make room for the great has been a game-changer. Third, it's about energy management, not just time management. I've mapped out my energy levels throughout the day and scheduled high-impact tasks when I'm at my peak. Fourth, it's about creating systems. I've automated repetitive tasks and created standard operating procedures for common processes. This frees up mental space for strategic thinking. Lastly, it's about balance. I've learned the hard way that neglecting personal time leads to decreased productivity and creativity. Regular breaks, exercise, and time with loved ones aren't luxuries—they're necessities. Why does this matter for a startup founder? Because your time is your most valuable asset. Every minute counts when you're building a company from the ground up. Remember, as a founder, you're not just managing your time—you're setting the rhythm for your entire organization. Master this and you've mastered a critical component of startup success. #StartupLife #TimeManagement #Entrepreneurship #Productivity

Startup founders, more hours worked do not equal to better outcomes ❌ After a certain period of time More hours, leads to burnout. 😩 Your brain is tired And the productivity stops 🛑 Being a startup founder, this lesson is crucial. Burnout culture might push you to hustle non-stop, but productivity comes from balance. To avoid that: establish a framework ➡️ Divide the task between urgent and not urgent ➡️Specify the important and the not important ones Make sure you know which of these tasks needs to be - Done by you - Can be delegated - Can be delayed - Or are to be deleted Work hard, but do not just work more hours without a strategy P.S: Do you have a strategy of balancing your workload and productivity? #Financialavisor #startup
