Biophilic Design & Animal Husbandry show effectiveness in treating Alzheimer’s & Autism symptoms. I wrote this article after many years of working under the mentorship of brilliant neurologists and psychologists; under their tutelage, and during the course of my dissertation research and fellowships, all whilst finding a love and passion for increasing my knowledge about autism spectrum disorder, neurodivergency in general and Alzheimer’s dementia, I discovered that Aquatic therapy was really remarkable in terms of decreasing neurodivergent symptomatology, and Dementia related behavioral and psychological symptom reduction. https://lnkd.in/gYaUN4R9 #neuropsychology #autism #adhd #childpsychology

Cybin Inc. recognizes the growing importance of discussing innovative treatments for mental health and the need for comprehensive regulation. Joining the conversation on One America News Network with Alicia Summers is Doug Drysdale CEO of Cybin, a leader in neuropsychiatry treatments, to explore the potential impact of RFK Jr.’s vision for HHS. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. voiced his strong support for the regulated use of psychedelics, particularly for addressing mental health challenges. Kennedy, a long-time advocate for alternative medicine, underscored the promise that psychedelics hold in the treatment of various conditions like depression, anxiety, and PTSD—if paired with scientific research and proper regulation. Cybin, as a leader in the development of psychedelic-based therapies, aligns with Kennedy’s view on the importance of evidence-based approaches and the need for thoughtful policies that balance innovation with safety. By advancing clinical trials and regulatory frameworks, Cybin is committed to exploring the potential of psychedelics to transform mental health care. As conversations around psychedelics continue to gain momentum, Cybin remains at the forefront of pushing for positive change in mental health treatment, driven by scientific rigor and regulatory oversight. #MentalHealth #Psychedelics #Regulation #Innovation #Healthcare #Cybin #RFKJr #PsychedelicTherapy #MentalHealthAwareness

Entheogenic experiences often lead individuals to perceive their mind-brains as non-local and multidimensional. This means that people may feel as though their consciousness extends beyond their physical bodies and can navigate through different layers of reality and self-awareness. This perception can be transformative, offering profound insights into personal and universal truths. Synesthesia and Sensory Fusion Synesthesia: During an entheogenic experience, boundaries between senses can blur, resulting in synesthesia. This is where one sensory input (like sound) involuntarily triggers another (like seeing colours). This fusion can create a rich tapestry of experience that feels deeply meaningful. Enhanced Perceptions: Sounds, colours, tastes, and mental-emotional can intensify and merge, often carrying symbolic significance. The interconnectedness of these sensory experiences can lead to new understandings of oneself and the world. Psychological and Philosophical Changes Non-ordinary Perception of Reality: People often report that these experiences feel more "real" than ordinary reality. This can shift one's perception of what is truly important or meaningful. Self-Reflection: The experience can facilitate deep self-reflection, allowing individuals to confront and reconcile with parts of themselves they might usually avoid. This can lead to personal growth and healing. Perspective Shifts: Many people find that their philosophies and worldviews change. They might develop a greater appreciation for life, nature, and human an non-human connections. Spiritual and Authentic Self-Connection Spiritual Insights: Entheogens can induce experiences that feel spiritual, offering a sense of connection to something greater than oneself. This can be interpreted as a connection to the universe, nature, or a higher power. Authentic Self: By stripping away societal and ego-driven layers, individuals often report feeling more in touch with their true selves. This can lead to a greater sense of purpose and fulfillment. Integration into Daily Life Long-Lasting Effects: The insights gained can have lasting impacts on one's mental-emotional and spiritual health and well-being. Many people find that they return from these experiences with a renewed sense of peace and clarity. Challenges and Cautions: It's important to approach these experiences with utter respect and caution. The profound changes can be overwhelming and should be integrated thoughtfully into daily life. To close, entheogenic experiences can offer a unique and powerful lens through which to explore consciousness, identity, and existence, often leaving individuals with a deeper understanding of themselves and their place in the world.
