Leaning In & Leaning On Each Other towards Building Strong Stakeholder Relationships Strong stakeholder relationships are built on a foundation of mutual understanding and respect. This principle applies not just in business, but also in families! #SocialValue Principle 1 emphasizes stakeholder engagement. Just like in any successful project, families thrive when everyone feels heard and valued. By listening actively to each other, we can understand what truly matters to our family members (children, spouses, parents) and establish healthy boundaries (grandparenting turf and great-grandparenting too!). This resonates with my morning devotion-Galatians 6:2: "Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Here's the key -being there for each other is a two-way street. As grandparents, we may be eager to shower our grandchildren with love, but offering support also means respecting the boundaries set by our children. And also helping them to co-create a family support system by respecting the older generations. Open communication through active listening allows us to co-create a family support system that works for everyone, ensuring a smooth and joyful transition into grandparenthood and great-grandparenthood (my mum). #SocialValue #StakeholderEngagement #FamilySupport #Grandparents P.S. Life throws curveballs, and sometimes they come in the form of adorable grandchildren! While I'm embracing this new role, it's definitely a learning experience. Even superheroes need help sometimes! The Experience of Motherhood : Motherhood can be fully understood through the personal experience of raising a child, whether as a biological, foster, or adoptive mother. Being a mother can be a challenging, fascinating, stressful, thrilling, and rewarding experience. As we celebrate Mother's Day today, I reflect on my 15 years and 8 months of motherhood. Despite all the challenges, societal and family expectations, I have chosen to enjoy motherhood by: Loving myself unconditionally, which made it easier to forgive myself when I made mistakes and to also love those whom I am nurturing. Incorporating self-care helps prevent burnout. Adopting Self-compassion: it involves turning kindness inward, being non-judgmental, and being present to my thoughts and how they make me feel as a mother. Focusing on my strengths as a person and a mother, while developing other areas of my life. Building a support system: it helps to create assistance during challenging times and a way to release stress. This helps reduce how much one juggles and avoids overwhelm. Celebrating motherhood journey and choosing to enjoy or learn from every season. Being grateful for nurturing and for the amazing role and differences made. What do you do to make your motherhood journey interesting? Kindly share below. Happy Mother's Day to all mothers out there. You are super amazing. #AbiesSonia #mothersday #happymothersday #motherhood

Teaching Our Kids the Value of Grandparents As we celebrate Grandparents Day, let's remind our little ones of the importance of cherishing and caring for their grandparents. Here are some valuable lessons to share: - Respect and gratitude: Teach kids to appreciate their grandparents' wisdom, love, and sacrifices. - Empathy and compassion: Encourage kids to understand and support their grandparents' needs and feelings. - Family bonding: Foster intergenerational connections through shared activities, stories, and quality time. - Learning from experience: Inspire kids to seek guidance from their grandparents' life experiences and wisdom. - Care and support: Teach kids the importance of helping and caring for their grandparents, just as they have always been cared for. Let's nurture a sense of responsibility, love, and appreciation in our children towards their grandparents. They are a treasure trove of wisdom, love, and family history! #GrandparentsDay #ValuesForKids #FamilyBonding #Respect #Care #Lov

🌟 'It's OK to ask for help' That's the empowering lesson motherhood taught me. Before my daughters, I prided myself on independence, tackling challenges solo with unwavering grit. Motherhood, however, was an intense paradigm shift. In the web of sleepless nights, teetering work-life balance, and incessant worrying over the littles, I learned the value of leaning on others. Carving this space for help allowed me to heal, foster trust, and build a supportive village around me. In recognizing our shared struggles, we unmask the 'perfect mom' myth and allow empathy to flourish. Opening ourselves to assistance doesn't diminish us; instead, it fuels our growth and resilience. We become more present, more attuned to our needs, and make peace with our vulnerabilities. To my fellow mothers grappling with seeking help, remember this - Empowerment doesn't just lie in 'doing', but in 'receiving' too. It's time we embrace the strength in vulnerability and foster connections that uplift us. Want to build your village? Let's start right here, right now! Share your story, ask for advice, or lend supportive words. Together, we can navigate the beautiful chaos of motherhood. #Motherhood #ItTakesAVillage #EmpowermentInVulnerability

👉The statement suggests that in many cases, children tend to feel a stronger affection or attachment towards their paternal grandfather compared to their paternal grandmother. This observation may stem from various factors such as the nature of the relationship, the roles each grandparent plays in the child's life, cultural influences, family dynamics, and individual preferences.✨ 👉Firstly, the dynamics of the relationship between the child and each grandparent can influence the level of affection. For example, a grandfather might engage in activities with the child that they find particularly enjoyable or exciting, fostering a deeper bond. This could include playing sports, sharing hobbies, or telling stories. Similarly, the personality traits of each grandparent, such as warmth, playfulness, or understanding, can also contribute to the child's preference. 👉Secondly, the roles that each grandparent plays within the family structure may impact the child's perception of them. In many cultures, grandfathers are often seen as authoritative figures or providers, which can evoke admiration and respect from the child. On the other hand, grandmothers are often associated with nurturing and caregiving roles, which may not always elicit the same level of excitement or attachment, especially if these roles are taken for granted or less visible to the child. 👉Furthermore, cultural norms and traditions can shape the relationships between grandchildren and grandparents. In some societies, there may be a stronger emphasis on the bond between grandfathers and grandchildren due to patriarchal values or historical customs. Additionally, familial relationships and traditions passed down through generations can influence the closeness between grandchildren and specific grandparents. 👉It's essential to recognize that individual experiences and family dynamics vary greatly, and not all children will necessarily favor their grandfather over their grandmother. Each relationship is unique and influenced by a myriad of factors, including personal experiences, upbringing, and the quality of interactions between the child and each grandparent.✨ #stronger_affection #grandfather_comparedTo_grandmother #first_grandfather #family_dynamics Video credit's #readers_digest Follow me #Asif_Ali

As we get busier are we making time for the relationships that mean the most? Grandparents often have the opportunity to share their knowledge, wisdom, and family traditions with their grandchildren. Such early experiences strengthen a grandchild’s self-esteem and reinforce beliefs, norms, and values while creating opportunities to explore identity in the context of one’s family. Adoption is a beautiful reminder that family is built not just by blood, but by choice and love. As we wrap up November, I reflect on my journey as an adoptive father to two incredible sons, now 22 and 21. I still remember the moment I first laid eyes on their pictures—my heart knew they were meant to be part of our family. The experiences we've shared, the laughter and challenges, have woven a rich tapestry of memories that define us. Nurture plays just as vital a role as nature in shaping who we are. I see bits of myself in them, even if they’d deny it! One of my favorite moments is our conversations that started in the backseat of the car and have now moved to the kitchen while we tackle chores together. We still dive into their lifebooks, reminiscing and creating new stories. It’s a reminder that our family legacy is built on shared experiences, and the need for adoption continues to grow. As you go about your daily life, I encourage you to keep adoption in your thoughts. The need for loving families has never been greater. Let’s celebrate the power of choice in family building and the stories that bind us together. If you resonate with this message, give it a like, share your thoughts in the comments, or repost to spread awareness. Let’s keep the conversation going! #Adoption #Family #Legacy #AdoptionAwarnessMonth #PhotosStoriesGenerations
