Yesterday, I had an unexpected yet enlightening encounter with my internship supervisor at Covenant University. We crossed paths while using the elevator and engaged in a conversation about wrapping up my internship and post-internship plans. As we exited the building, we met an Indian colleague from the Center for Research Innovations and Discoveries ( CUCRID Research), where I interned at HSL (Hebron Startup Lab) - a renowned university based incubator that has raised notable startups like Piggyvest , Kora , ThriveAgric , and so on. After exchanging pleasantries, my supervisor posed a question that caught me off guard: "What have you learned about entrepreneurship?" Initially nervous, I drew from my knowledge of Eric Ries' book Lean Startup, specifically continuous innovation and building solutions that's useful for you the builder (something You're passionate about). Surprisingly, my response impressed him. What struck me most was my instinctive reply: "Honestly, I'd love to learn more." This genuine expression reflected how I've learnt humility without being conscious about it. Well we have an invitation to meet on Friday. What should I tell a curator about entrepreneurship ? #startup #innovation #business

For students interested in starting or joining a startup, the final application deadline for Cohort 4 of Catalyst XL is tonight. After having multiple students in the last Cohort start their own startups, find their co-founders, and secure startup internships, we decided we'd bring the program back even better than last time. Starting July 1st, we'll go through our 4-week curriculum on the startup ecosystem, interning with startups, making the 6 key decisions at an early-stage venture, and some useful ways to organize your work life to make room for building. You'll also get the chance to work on your own project with a team of students and pitch it at our Pitch Competition. And all of our students' favorite part: you'll meet other entrepreneurial students from around the world as you all work to complete the program and officially become Catalyst Fellows. Our goal is to save you years of painful lessons in entrepreneurship, and get you building ASAP. Comment your email and we'll send the application + more info! #collegestudents #undergraduates #university #college #startups #venture #opportunity #experience #builders #entrepreneurship

Week 1 with Gina Experiences. This week, I was invited to join a discussion about startups with Gina Experiences. The speaker for this discussion was Mr. Jude Salvador Buelva, who taught us the essential skills needed to start a business and how to make it successful. At the end of the discussion, I learned about what a startup is. Specifically, a startup is a young company focused on growth, innovation, and solving a specific problem, often in a new or unique way. I also realized, after the activity "Make a Worse Idea That Makes Sense," that there are many ideas that can actually make sense if approached creatively. I remember Sir Jude saying, "An idea is cheap if it remains just an idea." This resonated with me because it's true—if you have an idea and do nothing with it, it remains just an idea with no outcome, rendering it essentially meaningless. That’s just my interpretation of what the speaker said. That’s all for week one. I hope to learn more about the tourism field with the help of Gina Experiences as I continue my internship with them.

I got to know in my startup SalonGo, there are 4 interns that had started their own startups and agencies.... I had always tried to maintain a good startup culture so that everyone can learn and got some experience. I had also done a ton of unpaid internships in the intial phase of my journey, if that helped me to build a base then the actual building experience helped to fail and learn further to 10x. #startup #culture #funding #entrepreneurship #business
