🌍 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗽 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗞𝗖𝗚𝗛/𝗡𝗩𝗧𝗚 𝗙𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗦𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰: 𝗗𝗲𝗺𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗶𝘀- 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 (𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹) 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 Two weeks ago, we hosted the symposium 𝘕𝘢𝘷𝘪𝘨𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘛𝘳𝘶𝘵𝘩𝘴: 𝘋𝘦𝘮𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘔𝘪𝘴- 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘋𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘪𝘯 (𝘎𝘭𝘰𝘣𝘢𝘭) 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘵𝘩 to address one of the most pressing issues of our times: the impact of mis- and disinformation on health and global health systems. The event brought together health professionals, policymakers, media specialists, researchers, students and others to explore the challenges of misinformation and its impact on global health, offering a valuable opportunity for both experts and those less familiar with the topic to learn more. 💡 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗱 insights into strategies to counter misinformation, such as equipping people with tools to recognise false claims early, addressing the psychological needs that misinformation exploits and fostering trust through transparency.
