Hi #Connections #Day12 Linux World Summer of Innovation: An Exciting and Informative Day 🚀 Today was filled with fun and learning! Mr.Vimal Daga introduced us to some exciting topics: DevOps with Docker 🐳: 📌We dived into Docker, a platform that simplifies the creation, deployment, and running of applications using containers. Containers are lightweight, standalone executable packages of software that include everything needed to run an application. 📌We covered Docker basics, like running a container and executing commands within it. Exploring APIs 🌐: 📌APIs act as gateways, listening to client requests, running applications, and returning outputs. 📌We delved into the URL structure: http://IP:Port/endpoint, noting that the default ports are 80 for HTTP and 443 for HTTPS. Python and Flask 🐍: 📌We explored the Flask module, which helps create APIs with Python. Key commands included: - app = Flask(__name__) to create a Flask application instance. - @app.route() to define a route to a function in a Python program. - app.run() to run the Flask application, with parameters like port (to change the port number) and host (to specify the hostname for incoming requests). We had the honor of meeting Mr. Mayank Goyal, an alumnus of Linux World. He shared invaluable insights about jobs and interviews, answering many of our questions. His advice was motivating and incredibly helpful. In summary, today was fantastic, filled with engaging lessons, and the session with Mr. Mayank Goyal was especially beneficial! 🌟 LinuxWorld Informatics Pvt Ltd #Day12 #beTheCreator #LinuxWorld

: 🌟 Day 3: Linux Magic with Basic Commands! 🌟 Hello, LinkedIn family! 👋 Today, on my #90daysofdevops challenge I dove deeper into the world of Linux with some super fun and practical tasks! From handling files with precision to mastering permissions, here’s what I explored: ✅ Displaying file content with line numbers. ✅ Managing file permissions like a boss. ✅ Revisiting my command history (because who doesn't love a trip down memory lane? 😄). ✅ Removing directories the clean way. ✅ Playing with text files—adding, appending, reversing, and sorting like a pro. ✅ Comparing files to find common lines (so satisfying!) ✅ Counting lines, words, and characters—because every detail matters. And that’s just the start! 🚀 💡 What did I learn? Linux commands aren't just tools—they’re superpowers! Each task brought me closer to becoming more efficient, organized, and ready for real-world DevOps challenges #DevOps #AWS #LearningJourney #FreshersCanCode #CareerGrowth

It's been almost a month since I started my DevOps journey. Here’s what I’ve learned and practiced so far, I began with Linux commands, covering everything from operational commands to package management and user and group management. While I wouldn’t say I’ve mastered Linux yet, I’m definitely getting more familiar and confident with it every day. There’s still a lot to learn, but I’m excited to continue improving as I use these skills more often. Here are some highlights of my learning journey so far: I familiarized myself with essential Linux commands. I gained hands-on experience with package management. I explored user and group management. I set up and managed databases. Does it seem like I took more time to cover these topics? Well, it could be because I had to spend less time due to my professional work and other commitments. But the time I spent learning all this was truly worth it. Now, I’m moving on to Python. Although I have some basic knowledge, there's so much more to explore. I’ve started a fantastic course on Udemy by Al Sweigart, focusing on automating daily tasks using Python. I’m looking forward to diving deeper and seeing how I can streamline processes and enhance productivity through automation. Will be back with an update until next time. Thank you and have a great day! #DevOps #Linux #Python #LearningJourney #Automation

𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐎𝐩𝐬 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞............ I'll start with the good! I’m excited to share that I’ve completed up to level 17 -> 18 of the Bandit game! After some progress, I went back to the start because the passwords had changed, which actually turned out to be a great opportunity to solidify the new concepts I’ve learned so far. I’ve really enjoyed this game as a learning tool. It’s been challenging but rewarding. Check out my solutions by clicking the link in the comments- I must say, I did get require assistance. If anyone wants some help feel free to drop me a message. I'm still learning how to use md files so it will hopefully look better later on. 𝐔𝐩 𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭: 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 I wanted to start scripting a while back, but being totally honest, I didn’t manage to start due to my own shortcomings. This week, that’s going to change. I’m putting my foot down and making sure I stay on track. 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞’𝐬 𝐧𝐨 𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐬𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐲 𝐠𝐨𝐚𝐥𝐬 !!!! 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐭𝐢𝐩 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐠𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞: Applying for jobs, learning, chores etc. takes time. I’ve found a way to squeeze in an extra 45 minutes without even realising,......here’s how: ▶Slap off 15 minutes from your sleep ▶15 minutes from your day, ▶Another 15 minutes before bed. I will be sharing my journey so follow me! 𝟙𝟡/𝟘𝟡/𝟚𝟘𝟚𝟜 #devops #journey #linux

This just makes sense! Here are just some refinements: 1) In programming Learn Python first, then GoLang but if you have already learned that, learn Rust, believe it or not, the projects I recently worked on Rust + DevOps, paid 2X more than my regular job/contract! 2) In server administration, while Linux dominates, don't skip the Windows part, I missed a VERY BIG opportunity just because I was not that used to Windows administration (although able to clear the basic/mid-tech round in just 2 days of study 📚), so not tough according to my learning experience, for you might vary! 3) The rest are all fine, prioritize learning AWS, Kubernetes, and the entire ecosystem around it, and you will be unstoppable! PS: Image credits Rocky Bhatia (You made a really great piece of art in representing below in such an innovative way! ) Cheers, Sandip Das
