Each year, September 30 marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. The day honours the children who never returned home and Survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities. Public commemoration of the tragic and painful history and ongoing impacts of residential schools is a vital component of the reconciliation process. Remind you of something… *💢😊Fact Today😊💢* The word "Doublethink" was coined by George Orwell in his 1949 book _'Nineteen Eighty-Four'._ It means believing in two opposite ideas at the same time, like "War is peace" or "Freedom is slavery". In the book, the government uses tricks, secret police, torture, and spies to control people. Citizens, as narrated in the novel, can only believe ideas that help the government. Sometimes, they have to believe two opposite things. For example, workers in the Ministry of Peace make war, and workers in the Ministry of Love hurt people. And this happens because they are taught to believe two things that don't make sense together. *💢🤔Thought for the Day🤔💢* Be impeccable with your words and speak with integrity.
