The Centre, led by our CEO, Yofi Grant, participated in a BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) Stakeholders Dialogue last week, organized by GIZ. The session, which aimed to promote Ghana as an ideal outsourcing destination, brought together various stakeholders from the public and private sectors to discuss how they can leverage the opportunities in the BPO sector, as well as ways to address the present challenges. In his remarks, Mr Grant emphasized GIPC’s long-standing relationship with GIZ, and how important such workshops are in improving Ghana’s current BPO space. He stressed on how rapidly the BPO space is growing, especially in IT and the digital sector, and how Ghana’s promising youthful demographic can contribute significantly to its development. He also stressed the need to address challenges in the sector to ensure it’s more attractive to potential investors. Participants then engaged in an informative Q & A session, after which those present broke into teams to discuss how to strengthen the BPO sector, identify relevant actors and their mandates to develop a stakeholder map. #giz #gipc #workshop #bposervices #ghana R.
