Along the way, we discovered a few things: Teamwork Makes the Dream Work: From giving piggyback rides (yes, it happened) to sharing snacks, our Ayuvya family proved that together we can conquer anything – even those never-ending uphill climbs. 🚶♂️🍫 Pushing Limits: We pushed our limits, cheered each other on, and found that the best way to reach new heights is with a little help from your friends. Who knew motivational speeches at 7,000 ft would be so effective? 🏔️💪 Nature's WiFi: No signal, no problem! We bonded over campfire stories, card games, and the stunning views. Plus, our impromptu 'no-phone' policy did wonders for team bonding. 📵🔥 As we finally reached the top, sweaty but victorious, it was clear: you can succeed best and quickest by teamwork instead of going it alone. Movement, to me, is healing—it's fun and promotes teamwork, which is one of our core values. It's a value I hope everyone embraces, not just today but in everything we do. While we’re usually focused on delivering for our customers, today was about switching things up—a chance to unwind, reconnect, and strengthen relationships across teams. Sometimes, having fun is just what we need to refresh and refocus. At my work-ation in Gilgit Baltistan, all I could think about was SheRide. Yes, I am that obsessed with our mission & with news of harassment and rape coming in from traditional ride-hailing services like inDrive & Yango, we now need to build our product faster than ever. The women of this nation need us! And I wouldn’t have it any other way, because the obsession that my team and I have with empowering women and providing safe transportation is the not-so-secret sauce that drives SheRide. I bet this will feel relatable to a lot of founders and builders: If you don’t want to work on weekends, you’re not truly obsessed with it. This passion is what fuels the extra mile required to achieve success. Take my friend Ayesha, for example. I initially hired her at SheRide because she’s incredibly talented and smart. But her passions show up differently. She’s a hobbyist, eager to clock out at 5pm to go paint or play badminton - and that’s just not our culture at all. I wanted Ayesha to be happy and successful - by her definition, not ours. So she moved on from SheRide and now she’s excelling in her new career. I’m thrilled for her success Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong whatsoever with pursuing hobbies or work-life balance. But her interests and work-style preferences just didn’t make her a great fit for our mission-driven team. Our team loves our work like it’s our favorite hobby. I’m cool with stating this bluntly because we’re based in a country of 220 million people. We can be honest about seeking out a few obsessives from that massive pool, and leaving the other hobbyists to enjoy their own interests. New Beginnings & Workation?   I joined sovanta in March and now got to experience an incredible Workation as part of the #YoungProfessionalCommunity - a program designed to help us connect, learn, and build our internal network within the first year.   Highlights: 🤝 Bonded with fellow newcomers through shared activities. 🎨 Built a drawing machine to spark creativity. 💡 Innovated in a design thinking workshop focused on improving onboarding. 🏞️ Enjoyed nature with lakeside walks and stand-up paddling. 🍽️ Savored amazing food, including BBQs.   Why It Matters: 1. Enhanced Connectivity: Strengthened and gained the new network. 2. Problem-Solving: Reduced cross-department barriers, leading to better collaboration. 3. Team Spirit: Fostered a stronger group and brand mentality. 4. Reflection & Growth: Offered a space to reflect on important topics like onboarding, training, and integration.   Overall, this Workation was a nice break from the daily routine, packed with creativity, learning, and connections that will last.
