And the new challenge is coming... it's the AQQ274 about 2 sportsmen having to decide when running and when walking... Two sportsmen have exactly the same running speed and the same walking speed. One day they started the same trip to the same place. Sportsman-A walked for half of the distance and ran for the rest, while Sportsman-B walked for half the time and ran for the other half of time. Question: Which sportsman reached the end of the trip first? Good luck and try to be among the first ones! That same quiz can also be found (with more discussions between participants) on: https://lnkd.in/eBtD2ZST

FEEL GOOD FRIDAY: TL;DR: Hyperice and the PGA TOUR have come a really long way together. And we are only just getting started. When I met Jason Stodelle MSPT, ATC, OCS for the first time on the PGA TOUR at the American Express in 2017, we were in a small RV dedicated to physio services for the players. I left behind our orginal Vyper 1 roller, a green Hypersphere and a stack of my business cards. Very quickly, players were texting weekly, “Hey, I got your number from the truck, can I buy…” and we were off to the races. Little did I know that my friends at Normatec had been doing the same thing (shout out: Dan Canina, Andrew Reed and Brendan Bergson). Since our partnership officially launched in 2020, the Tour has continued to up their Player Care initiative at every tournament. It’s a full wellness compound, including at least one gym, the physio/chiro truck, and, new this year, the Player Recovery Center (more Hyperice, cold plunge, and saunas). Every player now has access to everything they need to maintain, strengthen and recover right there on site. And we’re not stopping there, we have launched Caddie Recovery rooms this year at a growing number of tournaments. They’re a massive hit ( 👊🏻 Jake Newman). We have been lucky to be a part of this incredible transformation week in and week out over the last 7 years. Can’t wait to see what’s next. #pga #pgatour #wellness #wellbeing #fitness #chiropractic #longevity #sports #sportsmarketing #golf #golfindustry #healthcare #health #marketing #medical #pt #sportsbusiness #golfbusiness #recovery #travel #sportsmarketing #partnership #sponsorship

🚨 Social Media Platforms DO NOT DO enough to remove toxicity/ abuse/hatred directed at athletes (and in general)! Or do they? 🚨 Fascinating and groundbreaking report by United Against Online Abuse, Coalition to Stop Hate Speech in Sports. Today's professional athletes face an alarming level of scrutiny and abuse, coupled with immense pressure to perform. This issue begs the question: Why aren't social media platforms doing more to prevent such abusive behavior? "When individuals endure vile and abusive commentary, often without any wrongdoing, why do social media publishers hesitate to take immediate action? Why aren't they removing harmful content promptly upon notification, vigorously pursuing perpetrators, and providing support to the victims of abuse on their platforms?" Critical part of the answer lies in the broad immunity granted to social media platforms under Section 230 of the 1996 Communications Decency Act. This section shields them from being treated as publishers or speakers of user-generated content. However, it's important to note that platforms do offer built-in features for users to adjust settings and filter abusive keywords. Moreover, they allow third-party API integrations, like Arwen.AI, empowering brands, athletes, and influencers to curate their social channels and hide/block the abusive language. Let me know your thoughts on this critical issue: Does this issue keep you up at night? Do you ignore it and avoid paying much attention? Are you someone who mostly steers clear of social media altogether? Or, do you believe in free speech absolutism, where people should be allowed to express anything on social media? Please comment below and share your perspective! PS. ♻️ If you care about #keepingsocialmediasocial and kicking #toxicity out of social media, please like, comment, and share! ♻️ Thank you!!!
Today saw the launch of the first ever industry-wide study measuring online abuse in sport. This one statistic below tells you all you need to know about the risk sport faces if the issue remains unsolved 😧 At Arwen.AI we're proud to play our part for clients like Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team, Burnley Football Club, Red Bull Racing & Red Bull Technology and Fulham Football Club 🙏 We're also grateful for the leadership shown by our friends at Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile with this valuable report 💟 https://lnkd.in/eJ2Fsc5G #unitedagainstonlineabuse 💪

The idea came during the MCO when I was scrolling around the YouTube and google due to the boredom. Out of sudden, the scene of people playing ice skating at Sunway Pyramid came across my mind and from there, and I was curious enough to check on Malaysia Figure Skating sport in Malaysia, which we all know Julian is no doubt the best we had that time. As I was google on the achievement on Malaysia Figure Skating, other sports came into my mind... "What about Chess? Ice Hockey? What about Table Tennis? Hei I've seen cricket before, what about that..." Then again, utilising the google, I've found out that there are so many sports, that they have all won so many prestigious awards but there are so little news or recognitions about it. I tried to google about Chess, can you imagine how limited the news is when we have a Gold Medal in Sea Games 2019, and that's it, no more follow up news. Then I search again, what about Fencing? Everyone loves fencing right? Just like Star Wars, playing with the Light Saber, or just like most of the Manga or even Games like Diablo where the characters are playing with the sword, we must have something. There you go, we had an olympian, and a proud SEA GAMES 2017 achievement. The list goes on. It's not easy to get connected and to try to pitch the idea, especially when you are telling the presidents of each associations and federations that "I'm sorry but do you think your sport is a second tier sport..." Luckily, we all had the same thought that yeah, second tier sports in Malaysia but in terms of achievement, they are definitely able to deliver, especially when it comes to financial aid and recognition if you are to compare to the 'Main Stream' such as Badminton, Football, Diving, and so on, they deserved better. But I am really thankful with all the help around to make this happen. It might not be the most 'complete' documentary, but I truly hope that it can be a good start for this sports.

I'm not sure what this journo is trying to get at. Does he think the AGP, a sell-out event, shouldn't increase its prices because we are experiencing a cost-of-living crisis? Its operating costs have risen, so ticket costs will surely rise. I think these rises are too small. Maybe a major events reporter should have a little more of a big-picture view... and perhaps the AGP should review where it spends its money! We should be praising the AGP for year-on-year growth, and for bringing motorsport to a bigger market than ever before, and for running a fantastic event, https://loom.ly/-AZQ6wE #AGP

Ahead of tonight's blockbuster Game I clash in the Ampol State of Origin, we explored the implications of Queensland Rugby League's landmark 4-year deal with Ford Australia, announced over the weekend. Check out the the full breakdown here: https://lnkd.in/dfZfH5Fm Key takeaways: - Ford is the 3rd largest Auto brand by sponsorship spend and has cemented this position with a Major (Tier 2) partnership with the QLD Maroons. - The deal gives Ford coverage in Rugby League and helps address their relatively weaker share of sponsorship spend in NSW and QLD. - A South Australian based summer-sport club such as the Adelaide Strikers, Adelaide 36ers or Adelaide United Football Club would further compliment Ford’s growing portfolio and address their remaining weaknesses (low market share in SA and in the month of Jan). #stateoforigin #maroons #blues #Sponsorship #sportsbiz #sport #partnership #insights #nrl National Rugby League Mark Isaacs Alexander MacAdie Analyst Economy
