I spent the last week in NYC 🍎 for a QBR, growth on-site meeting, and the first Ocroweek of 2024. What a great week full of well-earned celebrations, amazing sessions and conversations, but most importantly some in-person time with the team transforming AI-driven document automation. 🚀 Here are some of my key takeaways: 👉 Being in person is powerful. I had so many ad-hoc side conversations that will undoubtedly accelerate projects and ROI just because cross-functional groups were in the same building. I cannot wait for the next Ocroweek. 🎯 Rather than planning broad 1H plans, the team narrowed its focus to three key projects. By thinking strategically and getting laser-focused on three impactful areas, we left our planning sessions with clear ideas on how to execute. 🎉 We celebrated because we deserved it. 2023 was a rollercoaster, but the growth team crushed it. Not only did we increase monthly pipeline generation by +65%, we did so effectively and efficiently and reduced marketing spend by 13%! I'm excited for what's next at Ocrolus. What is the effect of an investor creating a development platform to empower talented people across their portfolio companies? ⬆ They push up. 😲 Not like a burpee, although we ask them to do that too :-), but like a force of upward momentum. Imagine the impact of injecting a passionate group of ambitious and caring individuals into a system. CE Hon. Tracey Martin is en route to Reefton today to meet with locals fighting to replace the aged care services their community lost earlier this year. For many, the closure of Ziman House has meant loved ones must leave their town, their community, and their loved ones to receive the care they need. Today's update explores the challenges of delivering care in rural areas such as Reefton, and what New Zealand can learn from Australia's approach. Because we don’t have to reinvent the wheel here; we can learn from proven models and adapt them to meet the unique needs of our communities, ensuring equitable access to care for all New Zealanders, no matter where they live. Tracey also points out that these scenarios are the results of decisions. Somewhere along the way, a decision has been made inside Te Whatu Ora, inside government, that it is okay not to provide aged care to some of our communities. The ACA continues to call for members of government to look at what the Australian’s are doing, and consider the benefits for the New Zealand aged care sector of adopting innovative funding models, like block funding, to support rural and regional communities in providing sustainable and locally tailored aged care solutions. #AgedCare #RuralHealthcare #RuralCommunities
