Great work by UCLA team!
Our team at UCLA Integrated Sensors Laboratory recently built a novel battery-less and wireless neuro-sensing chip technology that shares the same antenna for powering the chip and also reading back the sensed data. The chip can dynamically adjust the data rate based on the quality of the coupling and the distance between the implant and the external wearable device. This capability ensures a robust communication channel that is resilient to movement and rotation of the implant in the body. The paper was presented in #IEEERFIC conference in Washington DC. Paper title: "Design of a Dual-Mode Coil-Reuse Data Acquisition System for Miniaturized Wirelessly Powered Biopotential Sensing Nodes" #neurosensing #cardiacsensing #closedloop #batteryless #wireless #implant
