"I cannot hold accuracy because my parts keep moving". "My process is too slow, I need an overall cycle time 15% faster than I have been able to achieve". "I am going through tooling like crazy, they all just burn up". I hear one of the comments above hundreds of times per year. Why? 💡 That vacuum pump that looked good on paper - HP, CFM, HG argh, argh, argh - isn't getting the deep vacuum you need. If your pump stats don't start with 29 inches of mercury than you likely have an inferior pump - consider upgrading. 💡 You can program your tool to the proper inches per minute but that doesn't mean that's what you are getting. Even if the controller tells you you are - stop watch that thing. Most machines on the market can go fast but they cannot maintain a high percentage of that speed in the corners. They are built light with cost savings in mind. They dwell and kill the chip load calculation, leading to premature tool failure and undesirable results. 💡 Our industry has very few application specialists so knowledge is hard to find.
