1. Drink a cup of water first thing in the morning. 2. Add hardboiled eggs to your rice (if it’s rice and stew Sunday). Eggs are nutritious. Very nutritious. 3. If it’s rice and stew Sunday, add sliced cucumber to your rice. It’s good for your kidneys. 4. If you can add green vegetables to your diet today, do it; it is highly recommended, and it’s good for your immune system. 5. Eat more meat, not less. 6. Limit fries. Very important. 7. Drink water through the day. Stay hydrated. 8. No soda or packaged fruit juice today. 9. Take at least two minutes of your time today and think about your blessings. Count them and name them, one by one. 10. Repost for others.

On a good day when I don't succumb to my achiles heel (CANDY!) I try to know what I am eating, meaning knowing what the ingredients are and making sure that I avoid processed foods, preservatives, additives.. you get it. I am always trying to hit minimum 30gms of fiber from my diet (berries, vegetables, fruits, nuts, whole grains) AND trying to get a good balance of proteins / carbs/ fats in my diet. It's hard when you work long hours to make the time for making meals, and so if I am ordering in my lunch/dinner I really try to use restaurants that give you a simple and healthy option. I also always need snacks handy so I can win the battle against my arch nemesis CANDY! Hope this helps! Drop questions in the comments.

How to have a healthy and easier fast! ✅ Base your meals around protein! High protein foods such as eggs, fish, chicken or lean meats will keep you fuller for longer making your fast that much easier! ✅Hydration is crucial Low energy, headaches and cravings are symptoms of dehydration. So make sure to drinking regularly during the pre fast period. Breaking your fast with fluids as opposed to food will prepare your digestive system for the incoming food ✅Eat minimally processed carbs Carbs that are high in fibre and minimally processed will help you stay fuller for longer Avoid the sugary processed carbs they can increase cravings making the fast that much harder plus will not keep you full for long! ❌ Don't overeat before or after the fast!! Counter intuitively, over eating will not make the fast easier. Instead you will feel lethargic and sluggish as your body has to over work to digest the extra food! This can be really difficult but slowing down and easing into eating will help you feel so much fresher. Personally I like to drink fluids have soup and then a short while later have a larger meal.
