Netflix should consider scaling their Kubernetes cluster that runs their application to stop all these issues. Nobody can even watch the fight you've been advertising for months and months

Tiny advice for free 🙂: The recent live-streaming issues at Netflix go far beyond tech scaling or stress testing—it’s a strategic challenge. Relying solely on tech experts, without proper alignment between marketing, operations, and IT, is a sure recipe for disaster. Massive campaigns require robust demand forecasting and capacity planning—the tech team simply can’t scale what they can’t predict! Marketing, operations, and IT must collaborate early to forecast viewership spikes accurately and align resources accordingly. Additionally, the last live-streaming event was in 2023—how can a service not be in “Continuous Operations” yet still be launched at scale? Live-streaming should be tested, refined, and actively maintained as a core service, not treated as a one-off experiment. (check SOA for reference) This is where ISO 20000 (IT service management) and ISO 22301 (business continuity management) play a vital role. These frameworks provide the structure to ensure smooth service delivery, mitigate risks, and maintain reliability for high-profile events. Good luck—but make sure to hire competent, ISO-certified managers to steer these efforts effectively. This is a management failure not a technical one.

Total failure in Netflix capabilities to handle the fight. This was really disappointing and embarrassing. Netflix should be ashamed of this disaster of an event.

Oh, truly amazing! You had one job: to deliver Tyson vs. Paul on Netflix. Not a huge task, just a bit of server stability. But no, even that was too much to ask. Server issues? Really? In an era of AI, space exploration, and self-driving cars? Bravo, Netflix, you managed to turn the event of the year into a meme. Maybe Tyson should fight your server next – it seems to have gone down after the first round. Truly spectacular, just unfortunately not on your screens!

Dear Netflix, I think I speak on behalf of everyone when I say, we would have rathered the fees.
