The AI-Bioscience Collaborative Summit was a fantastic experience! I had the privilege of (scientifically) representing Brazil at this event in Washington, DC, alongside fellow scientist Dr. Celso Camilo. We spent two intense days exchanging ideas with global experts and policymakers, all zeroed in on how AI is set to reshape the future of life sciences and healthcare. The main takeaway? AI’s impact on biosciences is huge and growing. But for us to make the most of it, countries need to figure out how to collaborate effectively—sharing data, expertise, and tech while staying mindful of the risks. How do we make data accessible across borders without risking privacy? How do we tackle bias in AI models, especially when the data we have is often limited or skewed? And how do we get AI scientists and wet-lab researchers, who bring different perspectives, to work seamlessly together? We don’t have all the answers yet, but these conversations are critical to moving forward.

We are excited to announce that Denis Samuylov, co-organizer of GenAI Zürich and founder of SamuylovAI, will be speaking at the DA Z - DIGITAL ARTS ZURICH conference! 🎤 Talk Title: “Transforming Imagination: The Rise of Generative AI and Its Cultural Impact” Since the onset of the GenAI transformation, Denis has implemented several GenAI-powered chatbot and automation solutions that have helped businesses unlock new opportunities. While implementing such solutions, it is always important to balance efficiency gains with the ethical and privacy concerns that come with the use of AI. Both in business and art, there are numerous concerns about the use of GenAI: Will AI take my job? How can I prevent AI from stealing my identity? What is a fair use of AI? Exciting insights from our latest #OperLab workshop, where we explored how AI technology can support us in opening our innovation processes! One key challenge of Open Innovation, as many management experts point out, is the entropy it introduces. While opening up to external ideas and resources is an imperative—as Henry Chesbrough emphasizes—the sheer scale of external options can be overwhelming. How do we effectively scout for all potential patents? How do we sift through countless ideas from crowdsourcing contests? How do we assess partners who could help us leverage underused technologies within our organization? Artificial Intelligence might just be the solution to streamline and optimize parts of this complex process.
