New investment & portfolio company: LayerLogic AB #deeptech for fighting bacteria 🚀 🦠 Problem The bacteria Listeria is a significant problem in the fish industry. Current tests take several days, which is an issue in various fields such as food and healthcare with other bacteria. 🧪 Solution With LayerLogic's technology, test times can be reduced to minutes. ❤️ Potential The market for Listeria testing in food is $2.4 billion worldwide. Pathogen detection, finding harmful bacteria and viruses in food, represents an additional market of $21.7 billion. The third application area is the diagnostic test market, including water, medtech, and agriculture, which amounts to $210 billion. ....... - It is a problem that they have to send samples to the lab, where they get results within three to eleven days. Alternatively, they use today's rapid tests, which take between 24-48 hours. This means that fishers and producers must send out their fish before receiving the results.
