Building next gen semiconductor devices for AI

I had an amazing opportunity to present our work at the #Nature #Neuromorphic #Conference in #Beijing last week. The event brought together researchers, academicians and #semiconductor industry experts to collaborate on the development of next-generation chips for AI applications. As data-centric #AI #computing continues to grow, it is projected that Information and Communication Technologies could consume up to 20% of global energy production by 2030! This underscores the urgent need for designing and manufacturing #efficient #chips to meet rising computation demands. At PGI-7, Forschungszentrum Jülich, under #Neurotec project, our group is actively working on enabling efficient chips for digital and analog in-memory computing applications. Special thanks to my supervisors and mentors Dr. Vikas Rana, Prof. Rainer Waser, Prof. Regina Dittmann, and my colleagues and collaborators Simranjeet Singh, Chandan Kumar Jha, Dr. Felix Cüppers, Dr. Farhad Merchant and Prof. Rolf Drechsler for supporting the work.
