Today marks one year booze free, maybe we should all get off gas 😉 My motto of “unleashing extraordinary” in others and systems isn’t easier, it’s just that I have more energy to tackle big problems like climate change, inequalities and broken systems. A few, became a lot, of us are tackling Australia’s 25th in innovation problem by building a national innovation institute, and our quest is bold for Australia to achieve a podium finish! Our problems to solve will be 5+ years into futures challenges and industry agnostic, who wants to be our PoC customers to test MVP?

We just launched a new Climate Collective cohort! #greenaccountability is central to a just transition - and our new cohort and #innovation partners are obsessing about HOW to make that happen. For the past 5 months, together with the The World Bank's #GPSA team, we’ve been searching for the best founders with the most impactful ideas worldwide, founders that are leveraging tech and data to bridge gaps in transparency, accountability, and citizen participation in climate action and climate finance. I'm thrilled to present the teams in the inaugural Green Accountability Technology Accelerator, and the solutions they are building [see medium post in comments for a deep-dive 🔗 ]. Here's a snapshot: Savimbo - developing a direct payments and capital governance app by and for Indigenous communities in the Colombian & Ecuadorian #Amazon. Led by Drea Burbank, Hector Jhony Lopez, Fernando Lezama, and Roberto Duif. Space4Innovation - building a collaborative symbols-based mapping tool with Indigenous agro-pastoralists to manage, monitor, and report on #nature #conservation in Northern #Kenya. Led by Diana Mastracci Sanchez, Titus Letaapo, Lilian Balanga & team. Integrity Action - designing a citizen-centered monitoring tool to verify that benefits from #carbon projects in #Nigeria are aligned with community needs and delivered as promised. Led by Brittany Stevens, Arran Leonard, and Jasmina Haynes. Altruistech Innovation - creating a suite of #digitalMRV tools to monitor industrial #airpollution and make the data publicly accessible so citizens in #Rwanda can hold manufacturers and local gov accountable for environmental safety. Led by ABDUL KARIM SESAY, Mercy Nyamusi, and Daniel Falama. 🎈 Over the last 3 years we have refined our #incubator model, starting with 'research & convene', 'incubate & accelerate' and finishing with 'community & scale'. I'm pretty proud of my team securing a 8.9 net-promoter score across our cohorts 🎉 💻 Digital tech and data can strengthen green accountability globally - I'm so excited to support this newest Climate Collective cohort together with our friends at The World Bank World Resources Institute and SouthSouthNorth 🌱 💚 Alison Filler Jack Policar Ana Velástegui Leslie Chao Ann-Sofie Jespersen Aly Rahim Grace Sinaga, MA Carolina Coch Mariana Felicio Selin Kumbaracı Saad Filali Meknassi Blaise Dobson Jesse Worker Petersen Phihlela yared teka tsegay Samhir Vasdev Andrew Means, M.P.P.
