Using two distinct methods, we assessed our progress. 🌟 Key Finding: 53% Reduction in NICU Days! 🌟 Our initial findings are incredibly promising, showing a remarkable 53% reduction in NICU days compared to the matched control group. This improvement not only enhances outcomes for newborns and mothers but also results in substantial cost savings for payors. Enhancing access to maternal and newborn healthcare in developing Asia

We believe all birthing people deserve safety, dignity, and respect throughout the prenatal to postpartum journey. The Century Foundation (TCF) and Ancient Song are working to make community-based doula services more accessible by championing equitable health policies. The maternal mortality crisis in the U.S. demonstrates how critical it is to expand doula programs to increase quality care and improve childbirth outcomes for marginalized and underserved populations. These programs are based in the communities they serve and provide unique and culturally responsive patient services cultivated by deep connections and trust. They also help enhance the care individuals receive by providing referrals for those who need more comprehensive support. TCF is one of 11 Communities in Action for Health Equity grantees, driving solutions to advance health equity with support from Pfizer’s Multicultural Health Equity Collective and Institute of Translational Equitable Medicine. "Facilities providing outreach services, longer consultation times and higher interpersonal quality had higher facility based deliveries whereas facilities with longer average waiting times, longer travel times ... had few facility births".. For each minute increase in time interacting with patients , the facility based deliveries increased by four-fold!
