New Mexico Tech Petroleum Engineering Department’s Post

Exciting News from PDRP at New Mexico Tech! We are excited to announce the successful completion of a two-year project in collaboration with TrueCrush Testing Company. Our research, titled "Evaluating Proppant Performance: Contrasting the API Crush Test with the Innovative TrueCrush™ Testing Method," has yielded remarkable findings. Key Highlights: - The TrueCrush Test significantly outperforms the conventional API crush test, offering a more robust methodology for proppant selection in hydraulic fracturing operations. - Adoption of the TrueCrush Test promises to optimize well performance, boost cumulative output, and enhance decline curve forecasting, ensuring a more efficient and accurate comparison for proppant performance. - We advocate for the industry-wide replacement of the API test with the TrueCrush test to achieve precise analysis and better decision-making in operations. 👉 For detailed insights and to understand the full impact of our findings, check out the final report on our website: https://lnkd.in/g3iBkNhE https://lnkd.in/g_ht89rW This innovation marks a significant step forward in hydraulic fracturing research and practice. A special thanks to our dedicated research team at PDRP, our collaborators at TrueCrush Testing Company, Dr. Tan Nguyen for his leadership, and everyone involved in making this project a success. #HydraulicFracturing #Innovation #Research #PDRP #TrueCrush #ProppantPerformance #OilAndGasIndustry
