By modifying loan terms, allowing borrowers to defer interest payments, and injecting additional cash to de-risk loans, Arbor has successfully reduced its delinquency rate to 3.8%. This proactive approach has bought the company crucial time. 📈 Despite a 10% dip this year, Arbor's stock has outperformed peers, frustrating short sellers. In fact, short sellers are facing a hefty expense in betting against Arbor. Beyond borrowing costs, they must cover Arbor’s high dividend yield, which exceeds 12%. A $100 million short position could cost over $13 million annually, compounded by the fact that Arbor’s stock has not declined significantly as expected.
