It's Menstrual Hygiene Day! Did you know there's a day to celebrate periods? It's called Menstrual Hygiene Day, happening every May 28th! This day is all about making sure everyone who gets periods has what they need to stay healthy and clean. Here's the thing: periods are normal! They're a sign your body is working well. But in some places, girls and women might not have pads, tampons, or clean bathrooms to use during their periods. This can make it hard to go to school, work, or even leave the house. Menstrual Hygiene Day is about changing that. We want everyone to be able to manage their periods with dignity. This means having access to supplies and learning how to stay clean and healthy. By talking openly about periods, we can break the silence and make the world a more period-friendly place! So next time you see someone wearing red (the color for periods!), don't be shy! You can show your support for Menstrual Hygiene Day by learning more or talking to your friends. Being a woman, I salute all the women, you all are doing very well in your life whether it's your Personal or your professional life. Be strong Be bold and yes you not less than any one!! #Menturalday #28May

Well, menstruation is not a problem, but poor menstrual hygiene is. If you're not paying enough attention, get ready for the side effects. Periods are different for everyone, but if there’s something that must be common, it has to be hygiene practices during menstruation. Maintaining hygiene matters a lot, especially during your menstrual cycle. So whatever feminine hygiene you practice, you should try to take them up a notch when you’re bleeding down there. But if you’re not doing it, you may end up inviting vaginal and overall health issues. Wearing a pad for too long, douching your vagina, avoid bathing during periods, having carefree sex and not washing your vagina can be putting you at risk. It is totally normal to make period mistakes sometimes! We’ve all lived through moments like that, haven’t we? But making these unhealthy practices your habit can really in wreak havoc on your health. Late but not the last, hit the bull's eye with good menstrual hygiene. #KCJHospital #DrManishaJhawar #Gynacelogists #Obstetrician #FetalMedicineSpecialist #FetalMedicine #Maternityhome #menstrualhygiene #menstruation #menstrualcup #menstrualhealth #periodfreedom #periodproblems #femininehygiene #zerowaste #femininecare #copamenstrual #yonihealth #pms #periodstruggles #menstruationawareness #menstrualcycle #reproductivetractinfections

MENSTRUAL GENERALISATION VS MENSTRUAL SPECIFICITY To generalize or to be specific about menstrual products? Generalization involves broad statements based on limited data, while specificity provides detailed, precise insights. A generalist view of "sanitary" refers to practices ensuring cleanliness and preventing disease, covering a wide range of hygiene-related items could be food hygiene, environmental, personal etc, Sanitary products would therefore imply materials and implements that facilitate this. My thoughts therefore; lets adopt more specific terms in our menstrual work - MENSTRUAL PRODUCTS or PERIOD PRODUCTS to distinguish ourselves. This term provides a clear, specific reference to items used during menstruation like menstrual pads, tampons, menstrual cups, and pantyliners designed specifically for menstrual management. By adopting the term MENSTRUAL PRODUCTS or PERIOD PRODUCTS we will avoid the overlapping, generalist and less precise term (sanitary products) ensuring focused discussions on menstrual hygiene rather than general cleanliness. What this may look like I empathize with a procurement officer who must know, which is not always the case, that sanitary products is not just of the floor, bathrooms, handwashing, disinfectants and gloves etc. Let’s advocate for clarity, ownership and #occupy our menstrual space openly—let's call them MENSTRUAL PRODUCTS.🩸🔬 #MenstrualHealth #MenstrualInnovation #MenstrualCareer #MenstrualSustainability #MenstrualFuturism #Futurism #Sustainability #Innovation #Careers #menstrualequity #menstruation #periods
