Did you know about Digital Moving X-Ray(DMX)!!!! Motion x-rays are nothing new. A type of motion x-ray called “Digital Motion X-Ray,” or “DMX,” is a trade name for fluoroscopy, also called video fluoroscopy or cineradiography, which has been around for decades. Medical doctors have used motion x-rays for years to diagnose ligament injuries in the neck. For instance, an article published by medical doctors over 50 years ago in the Journal of the American Medical Association, concluded: https://lnkd.in/g3Av9q3X

#Defocus curve is a well accepted way in understanding what a #multifocal #IOL is capable of giving to the patient. The industry discusses defocus curve, but many a times clinicians and industry professionals do not understand what is the significance of defocus curve. In the end, they land up putting the cart before the horse. Here, I focus on the horse, that is, the science of defocus curve. https://lnkd.in/dXstKVzY

Beautiful visual representation of two scar mediated VT circuits utilizing the same scar in opposite directions! Expertly mapped by Dr. Eoin Donnellan and his CAS Ngoc-My D. and supporting CAS Kaitlyn Fontenot. Patient presented in sinus rhythm but VT was induced during placement of an Impella. While mapping with #Optrell high density mapping catheter, a second VT was induced. Using Carto’s parallel mapping, we were able to seamlessly switch back and forth between mapping each morphology. VT1 mapped to an early/exit site basal inferior with a late/entrance site basal inferoseptal. VT2 showed the opposite mapping to an early/exit site basal inferoseptal with a late/entrance site basal inferior. Dr. Eoin Donnellan terminated VT2 on his first ablation at the basal inferoseptal exit site. Homogenization of the scar ensured we could not reinduce either VT with aggressive extra stimuli. #epeeps #mycompany #medtech

You're not alone! But as Marie Curie said, "Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood." Sure, CT scans use X-rays, but here's the key: the #radiationexposure is carefully controlled and considered safe for #diagnostic purposes. Modern CT machines are designed to minimize radiation. Plus, the benefits of a precise #diagnosis far outweigh the very small risk. An accurate picture from a #CTscan can mean the difference in getting the right treatment you need, fast. So, if your doctor recommends a CT scan, breathe easy! The focus is on your #health, and these scans are a safe and valuable tool for getting you the best care. #mythbust #myths #mythalert

It’s fascinating to see the advancements in imaging technology, particularly the recent insights on AiCE and its impact on intracranial MR Angiography. The findings from the retrospective evaluation of MRA images in the highlighted article underscore a significant improvement in image quality with AiCE, showcasing lower noise levels and clearer arterial representations. As we continue to explore and implement such innovations, the potential benefits for patient care and clinical outcomes could be substantial. Thank you, Erin, for sharing this valuable resource. #ResearchFocus #CanonMRI
Are you interested to learn how AiCE affects intracranial MR Angiography? Check out this open access article, recently highlighted in #ResearchFocus #CanonMRI. In this paper, the authors retrospectively evaluated the MRA images of 40 patients to determine qualitatively and quantitatively whether AiCE improves the image quality, concluding that AiCE reconstructed angiograms of higher quality with less image noise and clearer depictions of arteries. https://lnkd.in/eyCxP_5Z #CanonMRI #ResearchFocus #CanonMedicalSystems
