Juniors out there....strategically, it is in your best interest to go local. Look in your backyard for non-remote roles. You have a higher probability of landing something. Earn your keep, and after a couple of years, you can find a company that allows you to work remotely. Some companies do not want to hire junior engineers for remote roles, as it's much easier and more productive to do hands on training in person. It's not asynchronous. Food for thought. Both of these jobs are in Philadelphia, PA. The government job is in the Department of the Treasury The private sector job is in SHIFT Capital (Real estate developer) It will more difficult to get the government job but completely possible. The government job is "open to the public" and has the key words: ✅Gathering and analyzing information ✅Preparing correspondence ✅Maintaining a calendar Those words NEED to be in your resume.
