🏆 25 World Championships 🏁 Over 200 race wins 🎯 130+ Pole Positions ⚡ 150+ Fastest Laps Nobody has won more than Adrian Newey in Formula 1. This contribution to the sport stands at nearly 20% of all-time wins in the sport. Earlier this week, Aston Martin F1 Team officially announced Newey as their managing technical partner, set to lead the redesign of their 2025 car and drive the team toward the top of Formula 1. The 65-year-old has signed a long-term contract and will also become a shareholder in the team. Why is this set to shake things up? 1. Red Bull Racing & Red Bull Technology lose their technical genius of 19 years; "Losing Newey would of course be a big disadvantage, also because it would mean that another team would then get him,” Helmut Marko said. “In that case, he takes with him not only the knowledge, but also an incredible wealth of experience." 2. The wealth of experience is directly translated to Aston Martin, a team owned by Lawrence Stroll, who are heavily investing in the right people and resources to be on top of the grid. A car driven by Fernando Alonso, arguably, the best driver considered by many on the grid, is the other piece of the puzzle, which is already in place. 3. Opening new doors: Max Verstappen is currently chasing his 4th consecutive world title in a Newey-designed car. Although he is in the lead at the moment, the decline in Red Bull's performance post Newey's sign-off is observable. Would Verstappen be keeping an eye on the movement within the 2026 Aston Martin camp? Only time will tell. Will Newey’s move shift the balance of power in Formula 1? Drop your thoughts in the comments below! 👇 #F1 #AstonMartin #AdrianNewey #Formula1 #Motorsport #BreakingNews #RedBullRacing #F1Tech #F1News #MotorsportNews

#Monaco is over and Formula 1 now has its 4th race winner of the year as Charles Leclerc takes his first victory since the Formula 1® Australian Grand Prixin 2022 and now F1 is back in #NorthAmerica for the FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX DU CANADA which means that once again it is time for my preview and predictions, can Max Verstappen and Red Bull Racing & Red Bull Technology bounce back and once again claim victory after losing last time out or will Charles Leclerc and Ferrari make it two wins in a row, also Mclaren will be looking to continue their fine form with both Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, Carlos Sainz in the other Ferrari will be looking to bounce back after a couple of tricky races. Sergio Perez in the Red Bull will be looking for a better race after crashing out at the start of the Monaco GP. For Mercedes-AMG GmbH they are all alone as the 4th fastest team as Lewis Hamilton and George Russell are ahead of the cars behind but a long way off of the cars that are ahead of them such as Aston Martin who will be looking to get back in the points with Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll as they have been struggling now for a couple of races and they are coming under pressure from Yuki Tsunoda in the VCARB. The Canadian Grand Prix at #Montreal is a great circuit which has a lot of history and incidents often happen as the tight chicanes have walls close by. Will anyone find themselves in the legendary Wall of Champions? #F1 #Formula1 #F1Race #F1Weekend #F1Quali #F1Testing #F1Sprint #F1Driver #F1Team #F1Fan #MercedesAMGF1 #RedBullRacing #Ferrari #ScuderiaFerrari #McLaren #AlpineF1 #AstonMartinF1 #WilliamsF1 #AlfaRomeoF1 #HaasF1 #AlphaTauri #LewisHamilton #MaxVerstappen #CharlesLeclerc #SebastianVettel #LandoNorris #DanielRicciardo #FernandoAlonso #CarlosSainz #SergioPerez #GeorgeRussell

🏆🏆🏆🏆 4th Formula 1 Title in a Row 🏆🏆🏆🏆 Congrat Max Verstapen congratulations Red Bull Racing & Red Bull Technology Congrat Christian Horner CBE for such a longevity. This 4th title is definitely the one of Maturity for Max. - After a near-perfect start to the season, the turbulences in the team, the battles for influence and the drop in performance could have had an impact on his driving. But it was precisely at these delicate moments that Max (while his team-mate was literally sinking) kept his team afloat and gave them the confidence to win the title. - Under pressure, the competitors made mistakes, but he didn't, with that masterpiece in Brazil, which put an end to all suspense. - When you stop judging people and focus on the facts, you can't but salute the performance. I salute it doubly in view of what he said after the race about staying with the team. “When there are difficult moments, it's very easy to say goodbye, forget them or ignore them. But I think it's actually much more important to face them and get through them together.” Let's not forget that the vast majority of great champions have something special - resisting under pressure, - Consistency over time - taking good decisions at the right moment - influencing and federate people, - returning a bad situation to their advantage - Overtaking blocking situation People like Schumacher, Prost, Senna, Lauda, Hakinen, Hamilton were Special, so is Max. . I can't wait to see what happens next year, because the upheavals at Red Bull and the associated departures have left their mark, and the competition will be even fiercer. Small piece on Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team and Scuderia Ferrari :-) #formula 1 #performance #Redbull #sport #motivation https://lnkd.in/e_TDcZG4

Zhou's Emotional Homecoming - The 2024 Chinese GP Story! 🏆🏁 The 2024 Chinese Grand Prix was a thrilling showcase of Max Verstappen's unrivaled skill and Red Bull Racing & Red Bull Technology's strategic prowess. Despite multiple safety car interventions, the Dutch champion maintained his composure and extended his championship lead. 💪 Verstappen led from pole, while teammate Sergio Perez fought back from losing a position to Aston Martin F1 Team's Fernando Alonso at the start. Lando Norris, in a resurgent McLaren Racing, put on a stellar performance to secure second place. 🍊💪 The first safety car period was triggered by a collision between Valtteri Bottas and another driver, while the second was caused by a clash between Yuki Tsunoda and Kevin Magnussen. Red Bull's strategic calls during these interventions proved decisive, with Verstappen and Perez pitting for fresh hard tires. 🚥 Drama unfolded as Lance Stroll rear-ended Daniel Ricciardo's Red Bull just before the first safety car restart, earning a 10-second penalty and forcing Ricciardo's retirement due to significant damage. 💥 As the race resumed, Verstappen pulled away from Norris, while Perez overtook Charles Leclerc for third. Lewis Hamilton, starting 10th, showcased his racecraft by battling into the points on a less-favored soft tire compound. 💪 In the closing laps, Alonso charged through the field on fresh medium tires, securing seventh place and the fastest lap point. 🚀 Verstappen crossed the line with a commanding lead, cementing his position as the championship favorite. Norris and Perez completed the podium, with Leclerc, Carlos Sainz, and George Russell rounding out the top six. 🏆 The Chinese Grand Prix served as a testament to Red Bull's dominance and Verstappen's ability to navigate through adversity. As the season unfolds, the battle for the 2024 title promises to be a captivating one! 👑 Emotions ran high for Chinese driver Zhou Guanyu, who burst into tears after finishing 14th in his home race. Despite the challenging result for Stake F1 Team, Zhou's passion and determination shone through, cementing his status as a rising star and a source of pride for Chinese motorsport fans. ❤️ #f1 #f12024 #chinesegp #race #motorsports #technicalanalysis #engineering #china #shanghai

Don't miss out on the latest issue of #MotorsportMonday FREE TO READ ➡ https://t.co/SPpVmGDnDz There was no racing action to report on in the Formula 1 front this past weekend, but there was more movement in the driver market as #Sauber announced Gabriel Bortoleto will partner Nico Hülkenberg in 2025 to ensure both Valtteri Bottas and Guanyu Zhou will be dropped. Taylor Powling discusses the circumstances that led to Bottas, a 10-time Grand Prix winner, not retaining his place past next year. One driver whose seat in the sport is under no threat is Lance Stroll due to his father’s ownership of Aston Martin. But the Canadian’s latest calamitous mishap in Brazil has prompted James Phillips to argue that his place with the Silverstone-based squad should no longer be guaranteed. Meanwhile, Claire Millins also looks back on the action at Interlagos last month and the shenanigans that went on with the aborted start in this week’s Carla’s Corner column. A chaotic start inspired an eventful race in São Paulo, allowing the Alpine Formula One Team to secure an unexpected double podium which propelled the Enstone squad up three spots in the Constructors’ Championship. The Anglo-French marque now holds the advantage over Haas and V-CARB RB in the lucrative battle for sixth, a three-team battle that Taylor and Dan Lawrence reviewed in this week’s Start Your Engines. The South African Rally Raid Championship came to a thrilling conclusion in the Renault KEC 400. Giniel de Villiers took the win on the road, but in a non-homologated car by special dispensation. That left Henk Lategan to take the glory of victory. David Ledbitter provides your report and images. Elsewhere, Formula E cars returned to the track as pre-season testing for Season 11 took place in Madrid. Jack Oliver Smith was on hand trackside to give us all the rundown on everything that took place in Spain, including a first-ever women’s test featuring Abbie Pulling. Looking ahead, the MotoGP™ title will be decided at the season finale in Barcelona this weekend as Jorge Martin and Francesco Bagnaia will settle their contest. Eden Hannigan details how Martin has overcome his loss 12 months ago to be in a commanding position to take his maiden championship, while Henry Cheal breaks down the stats between the two title contenders. And, as always, we have all the usual news, views and stories in this week's edition of the most widely read weekly motorsport magazine in the world!
