🎬 Movie Review: Bagheera (2024) This film brings Western superhero grandeur to real-life scenarios, with KGF/Hombale-style cinematography and massy dialogues. It’s packed with intense, disturbing, and violent moments, making for a high-impact, gripping start. The family bond established early on is heartfelt, creating an emotional anchor for the film. The romantic track between the leads feels fresh at first, with both characters strong in their own ways and sharing morals, but as the story progresses, it falls into the usual tropes and loses its charm. The screenplay, though action-packed, feels rushed due to fast-paced editing, and at times, the choppy cuts fail to make a significant impact during the action sequences. The film does a good job of presenting a societal dilemma around the definition of a hero. It explores the tension between an ideal, moral world and the harsh, practical reality where circumstances force people to compromise their values. While the first half sets up a lot of conflict, the second half becomes more engaging, introducing new characters and stronger action pieces that elevate the story. As the story unfolds, it becomes predictable, with familiar twists. The final showdown feels dragged out, and a tighter edit would’ve made for a stronger conclusion. Still, the message remains thought-provoking. While not perfect, the film is a commendable attempt at something new in the mass film genre. It’s a one-time watch for fans of high-octane action and dramatic twists. The sequel hint leaves room for more, but personally, it didn’t spark much anticipation. Currently available on Netflix. Devara Movie Review: Jr NTR's Gripping Performance Elevates an Intense Drama Rating: ★★★★☆ Review: Devara is an action-packed drama that once again showcases the versatility and depth of Jr NTR's acting prowess. Directed by Koratala Siva, the movie dives deep into themes of power, revenge, and justice, set against a gritty backdrop. Jr NTR, in the titular role of Devara, delivers a powerful performance that captures the essence of a man torn between his principles and the harsh realities of life. The film's narrative is engaging, with a screenplay that keeps the audience on the edge of their seats. Koratala Siva’s direction is sharp, and he masterfully balances intense action sequences with emotional depth. The supporting cast, including Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor, add substantial weight to the story, each delivering performances that complement Jr NTR’s towering presence. Saif’s portrayal of the antagonist is menacing, providing a perfect foil to Devara’s character, while Janhvi shines in a role that allows her to display a range of emotions. The cinematography by R. Rathnavelu deserves special mention, with stunning visuals that capture the raw beauty of the film's setting. The action sequences are choreographed with precision, and the background score by Anirudh Ravichander heightens the intensity of the film. However, Devara isn’t without its flaws. At times, the pacing feels uneven, with certain portions dragging. Additionally, the film’s narrative, while compelling, doesn’t break new ground in terms of storytelling. Final Verdict: Devara is a must-watch for fans of Jr NTR and those who enjoy intense action dramas. While it may have its share of predictable moments, the film's strong performances and gripping direction make it a worthwhile watch. #Devara #JrNTR #KoratalaSiva #SaifAliKhan #JanhviKapoor #Tollywood #DevaraReview #DevaraMovie #TeluguCinema #AnirudhRavichander #MovieReview #IndianCinema #ActionDrama #MustWatch #Blockbuster

None of the contemporary rules applied. How to tackle FOMO? What is the Hook? How to keep it short to counter attention span? And so on. This film from Volvo, launching their EX90. Bumped on to this one on LinkedIn and then on Insta this morning. Kind of a mini tele-serial/ short film. 3 situations running in parallel. And the product just happens to be there. In the end, the importance of product is shown in a simple manner maintaining the brand's voice and what the brand, Volvo stands for! The highlight/ coincidence --> Hoyte van Hoytema is the DoP. Hoyte van Hoytema ASC is a Dutch-Swedish cinematographer. He has received 2 Academy Award for Best Cinematography nominations, for the Christopher Nolan–directed films Dunkirk and Oppenheimer, winning the Oscar for the latter. Art Thoughts: Deadpool and Wolverine. This film is an absolute blockbuster, action-packed, gore-fueled joyride. Every element of the film from it's score to it's shot-work to the dialogue which is as quick as they come is thoughtful and given free reign to be as Deadpooly as possible. Almost falling into the trap that Thor: Love and Thunder fell into, Shawn Levy Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Rob Simonsen and the entire cast and crew dance around that line consistently and it makes for a curious yet beautifully chaotic orchestra of lights, camera, action. The opening sequence gives you the best idea of what one can expect from this latest installment of the franchise as Deadpool takes aim at the MCU with one final swan song to the Fox Timeline. I can't think of many more occasions where I screamed "LETSSS GOOOOO" in a theater unconsciously more times than at this film. Hugh Jackman appears to be having the time of his life on this set and that translates to his unsurprisingly brilliant take on this Logan variant. This film is unapologetic in the best way. It stands by what it is trying to say which is not a lot but oh so much at the very same time. You don't have to be a superhero to matter... This film is a testament to the power of the movie theater and the ability to have an incomparable connection to about 200 other people as you watch things come alive on the big-screen that you had pushed away to the realm of impossibility. A masterful handling of script, score, cinematography, and performance brings this film to life and gives it the full-grown legs to make it across the finish line in a deliberate effort to desecrate the final few seconds of Logan while honoring the 10+ years of the one and only Wolverine, Hugh Flippin' Jackman. #deadpoolandwolverine #deadpool #mcu #marvel #review #theater #movies #learn #grow #actor #writer #elevate #medium #achieve #fight #likeaprayer
