Great Property Managers Were Assistant Managers First Why it's important Without assistant property managers how will companies hire property managers? Like it or not there is an organic career trajectory in multifamily management. It starts with a leasing position, then you get promoted to assistant property manager, then property manager and then regional property manager. Many of the top executives in the industry followed this path. The same goes for regionals and property managers. There are multifamily management companies that are removing the APM position. That will disrupt the organic career trajectory. I can't picture hiring a property manager that wasn't an APM beforehand. What are your thoughts?

Vice President of Operations, Transportation $285K Director of Health and Safety, Construction $185K Senior Project Manager, Manufacturing $165K Manager of Sales and Operations, Automotive $245K Vice President of Guest Relations, Hospitality $135K Senior Distribution Manager, Retail $162K What do all these things have in common? First, these are all job offers recent clients of ours accepted. Second, every single one of these people do not possess a Bachelor's Degree. I’ll wait while you clutch your pearls. Yep, somehow these brave souls dared to apply for, and land, six-figure jobs without that oh-so-necessary degree. The nerve that they apply for and win jobs over $100K. Over and over.
