Update on SEADETECT System Installation 🚢 🌊 We're pleased to announce the successful installation of the 3D-LIDAR system on the Découverte du Vivant vessel by ONERA - The French Aerospace Lab. The initial setup included the 3D-LIDAR and a context camera for verification of the detections. These sensors were installed on the front of the vessel to detect whales. 🐋 Check out our video showcasing the installation and initial sea trials. You can see the 3D point cloud representation of the approaching whale obtained by the 3D-LIDAR in comparison with the images captured by the camera. 🎥 The data collected will be used to improve our whales detection algorithms.
