🎃 Be sure to take a little time to prep for Halloween events! 🔹 Remind your child that the decorations and sounds are just pretend. They’re not real. They’re just a way for people to celebrate the season. 🔹 Be aware of things like moving decorations, fog machines and flashing lights. These may make your child uncomfortable or lead to unsafe or impulsive behaviors. 🔹 Take a sensory toy, headphones or earplugs with you when you go somewhere that may have loud noises and sounds. 🔹 Don’t use face painting or costumes that are challenging for your child’s sensory experience. 𝗧𝗼 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝗸𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁: 🔸 Explain that even if a friend is wearing a mask or face paint, it’s still their friend underneath. 🔸 Ask the friend to remove the mask for a few minutes so your child can see that it’s someone they know. 🔸 Have their brothers and sisters wear their costumes and masks around the house so your child can see that it’s still them underneath. #knowledgenowsolutions #bcba #telehealthaba #drbrittfarley #halloween

Halloween is right around the corner! Let’s make sure the spooky fun stays safe for everyone. Here are a few safety tips: 🎃 Make sure costumes are visible, well-fitting and flame-resistant. 🎃 Use flashlights or glow sticks for trick-or-treating. 🎃 When lighting candles inside jack-o-lanterns, use long, fireplace-style matches or a utility lighter 🎃 Be sure to place lit pumpkins well away from anything that can burn and far enough out of the way of trick-or-treaters, doorsteps, walkways and yards. 🎃 Make sure that you join with your kids in screening any treats received for potential problems. 🍬 Let’s keep everyone safe this Halloween! #HalloweenSafety #HappyHalloween #TrickOrTreat #JCLServiceCompany #CommittedToSuccess
