Associate Professor Ivan Sergeichev, who heads the Materials Center, participated in the 65th session of the United Nations Sub-Committee of Experts on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, which was held from November 25 to December 3. Ivan continues leading a working group for fiber-reinforced plastics at the sub-committee. On behalf of the Russian Federation, he proposed a draft for the new sub-chapter 6.9.4: “Requirements for the design, construction, inspection, and testing of portable tanks with shells made of fibre reinforced plastics materials intended for the transport of non-refrigerated liquefied gases.”
