The U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) Natural Hazards Engineering Research Infrastructure (NHERI) Summer Institute hosts early-career faculty, NSF NHERI Graduate Student Council members, engineers, social scientists, and researchers. Participants learn more about the NSF NHERI program mission NSF NHERI network site capabilities NSF NHERI network resource requests NSF NHERI Science Plan NSF Grant proposal writing Broader educational impacts of research Outreach focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion Community networking and mentoring Technology Transfer K-12 Educator Training (for K-12 education consultants) During the three-day Institute, participants meet with NSF NHERI site representatives, K-12 education consultants, NSF CAREER Awardees, and a National Science Foundation (NSF) program director. This year's Institute will be held at the University of Texas at San Antonio, June 11-13, 2025. We hope you will join us. The Summer Institute was super useful to learn more about the creation of a proposal. By the way, I was very lucky to participate with that team of the picture (very talented people!). In the mock-up proposal we had very different ideas and perspectives. In the end, we could embrace all the differences and came up with a very interesting proposal.
